I've played the arma series for a long time, origally I entered the gerne due to Dayz as many others did. However I stayed due to the fantastic sandbox nature the game offers, you can almost litteraly do anything in the game.

The game has hundreds of different communities, all from casual combat to hardcore roleplaying. When I first started playing the series I mainly played Dayz and Takistan life, where I met many friends I still play with today. These communities led me to try out milsim and other gamemodes that this game offers. So if you are looking for friends, then you might just find them here.

Unfortunately a lot of people are spooked by the learning curve the game has, while it is not super steep it has a lot of advanced controls. This game is not here to make it easier for you, even though they improved the controls from previous titles. If you want to learn to fly a helicopter you should not expect it to be the same as the controls in battlefield, here they behave a lot more realistic (especialy if you enable advanced helicopter simulation). But if you can manage to learn a few key bindings then you will learn to love the game.

The game is worth a buy, and I strongly recommend that you try to join a community.
