I like NEVER write reviews but this game is something. i havent played much of this game yet cause the player base is quite small at the time of reviewing, but from what little ive played it seems like it has a lot of promise. ive played a decent amount of time on slapshot, but this games seems like it could be better.

this game is VERY new into early access, so there isnt much available yet other than bot games and online matchmaking, but you can customize your player to your liking which i find super neat. you can allocate points to your players stats to make them really fast and nothing else or have good shooting or be strong or make a balanced build, along with customizing how they look of course.

the things i wasnt a fan of was you can make your guy dummy thick and strong and it becomes near impossible to take the puck away from them. the only way to takeaway the puck is to cross check or takeaway passing lanes, so if you have a weaker player you have to cross check them like 3-4 times to take the puck away or knock it loose. the goalies also only throw the puck to like the face off circles and it can very easy to intercept and can be quiet annoying if abused since you cant call for the puck form the goalie.

that being said at first glance i cannot see why this game has such a small player base for being F2P and being only a month old. the only reason im writing this is cause i joined the discord and posted in general saying why does this game have such a low player base, for which one the devs responded kinda fast and said they are a small team and are working on adding stuff to keep players playing the game and i should write a reveiw so here i am lol.

in its current state 6.5/10 just quick fun hockey great to play with friends. but potential imo better than slapshot. i hope they keep up the good work and manage to get a decent sized player base

At first glance this game is meh, i watched streams and videos still meh. initial price point $30-40 a big no from me. now that it is permanently $5 the game is worth imo, this game is way more fun than i thought it would be.
