Excellent, brutal combat with far more flexibility than the first game. Some secrets are a bit obtuse, but you can pretty easily hit 95% completion without looking things up. As always, gorgeous pixel art and incredible locales.

A masterpiece of game design. I've never seen a game use the metroidvania format in such a clever way. Backtracking to find new items and areas forces you to reevaluate every screen to find puzzles you never noticed were there. The secrets go deep, and I'm certain there will be more to discover for many years to come.

One of the most brutal and beautiful metroidvanias I've ever played. Epic Boss fights, great music, and a fascinating story that's worth many playthroughs. Highly recommended.

If you're looking for an excellent metroidvania with a massive world to explore, tight combat, and excellent boss fights, this is the game for you. I will note that this game is very hard. You will have to work at it. But the experience is worth it.

The music of this game is another standout. Every track does an excellent job of helping set the mood for the location. Many of the tracks are so good that I have and continue to listen to them for leisure (looking at you, City of Tears).

I can't recommend this game enough. Worth every penny.

Lots of fun, great for creative minds! The workshop complements this game better than any other game I have played.
