The original STALKER series will always have a special place in my heart and hard drive. While this game is not the original, and you should not expect it to match the OG, it maintains a lot of its' personality and goofiness.

Absolutely love it, blew all expectations out of the water. Can't wait for DLC and more mods to come out.

Yeah there are a bunch of visual bugs, and some glitches, however the core game is fantastic. So far it's been extremely fun and keeps your attention well. Currently running Ultra on a GTX 1070, i7 6700k, and 24gb DDR3. Haven't experienced frame drops below 30 and the frame drops are rare to begin with.

Great soundtrack, great gameplay, 2016 Doom felt better but this is still a very worthy sequel

Most of the options that really helped like viewing actual latency vs fps and other commands, workshop maps, options, don't seem to be there anymore and were pivotal to why CSGO was my go to game. Between that and feeling like an even older game with better graphics, this 'upgrade' sucks. I hope my opinion improves as I play

Completely hate most side shooters or side scrollers, never enjoyed them when I was younger nor do I now. But this game is pretty fun with high replay value, nice animation style, great vibe, and pretty funny. Haters level was a treat.

Didn't enjoy it like I thought I would. Bland and didn't feel very competitive, but I could see why some might enjoy it.
Had to request refund

Wasn't a big fan of Chivalry, controls were really goofy to me back then.
Mordhau makes controls/combat easy to learn, hard to master.
Crazy amounts of customization, and zero micro-transactions (at this point).
Incredible graphics, physics, and detail (especially) for a small indie team.

The best bit though, is being in a huge team battle, and hearing the bard playing the pokemon battle theme on his lute just behind you.

Fun for about 5 hours of game time, then got incredibly boring and underwhelming.
Story lacked originality (copy and paste of FC3/4).
The ending I chose was a big build up for nothing.
MAJOR SPOILER
if you care

If you choose to kill the main dude (which you don't kill him anyway), basically Russia launches nukes and destroys everything, which is hinted at quite heavily on the radio if you pay attention. That's the religious fire they were "preparing" for. From there to when the story completely ends is bascially a 10 min cutscene, and the world is unaffected if you load back in.

Might be worth trying if $20, and if you don't mind giving it to Ubi.

Early Access Review
At time of writing this, I've played 8 games (and died 8 times)

Game Info

The game is very similar to Escape From Tarkov, but with every player having the same goal(s), being the monster and bounty, and extracting. Takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, where you spend money on recruiting hunters, and taking them into the hunt. Starting with $666, you typically spend $75-$150 on tier 1 hunters. If you extract with the hunter, you can keep playing with them, upgrade them, and get better gear. If you die, you'll have to get another hunter and start again. You also earn account xp that unlocks more items in the store for your hunters.

The Bad

1. Servers
- Occasional server-side lag spikes currently running 104.7 mb/s down, 10.9 mb/s up
- Occasionally waiting for servers to free up to play
- Only NA and EU servers available

2. Solo
- It seems the contract monsters are just as hard in solo as in a team

The Ugly

1. Currency
- You will blow through the starting money when you're first getting used to the game
- You don't get money for killing grunts, hellhounds, hives, etc.

2. Difficulty
- The game provides a challenge

The Good

1. Gameplay
- Incredibly immersive
- A game could put 2k hours into and still come back for more

2. Graphics
- Stunning detail
- Beautiful lighting

3. Optimization
- Runs very smooth
- High FPS
1700 Nvidia GTX, i7-6700
A lot of people would disagree with me on that, but I havent seen a drop in FPS unless a ton of audio is going off at once (which I get on many games anyway).

I love the game, I understand they have a lot of small details to work on, and some bigger ones like servers and balancing. but I think the end result will be well worth it.
