I've been playing mostly on the Nintendo Switch (roughly 10 hours so far) - and it is so much fun. Took me right back to how I was addicted to Runner 2. I'll probably finish it on the Switch, then play it again here... And maybe play Runner 2 again.

While the levels are more dynamic than Runner 2 (changing perspectives, vehicle sections) - the mechanics are actually simpler than what I remember from runner 2 - double jump was added, but there's no "shield" from bits, and no "loops" (either with the analogue stick or the buttons).

One more change that I like - you can click & hold both analogue sticks to "bonk" yourself and return to the last checkpoint. Great for completionists that just missed a gold bar.

Some people compained that there isn't enough content compared to Runner 2. I don't think that's the case. While Runner 2 did have a lot more levels - they were much MUCH shorter and had a lot of similar repetitive levels (with the same enemies in all worlds). Here there are fewer levels with much more variety. The levels are much longer, have multiple paths and there are more collectables (if I remember Runner 2 correctly).

All in all, highly recommeneded - for both newcommers and fans (but I think it will be a bit easier for fans to get "up and running" in this game). This is the sequel we were waiting for.

The game started off great - I enjoyed the gameplay and the humour. Unfortunately after completing the first 2 story missions the game would crash consistently at the start of the 3rd mission (the mines). Apparently this happened to a lot of other players. Uninstalling and re-installing managed to get me to the 3rd mission (which I completed) and then the problem started again on the 4th mission (the dojo). This time uninstalling an re-installing didn't help. Neither did running as administrator or even changing resolution (some people said it solved it for them).
I can't recommend this game in its current broken state, despite enjoying the little I managed to play.
I'm currently attempting to refund the game, and will possibly buy it for the Nintendo Switch if it goes on sale again.

Amazing action platformer, with a unique 30's animation style.
Be aware though - there are about 3-5 boss fights for every "normal" action platform level...

One of the more surprising and engaging indie games I've come across.

20 minutes of fun and humour.
I personally believe everyone should play this game (especially since it's free) - gamers and non-gamers alike.
