tl;dr -- The storytelling and the soundtrack are pretty good. The gameplay falls off quickly, starting from the mid-game.

Early game is balanced well and enjoyable.
Chapter boss HP scales exponentially and their damage scales linearly. Your damage from levels and your damage from gear scale VERY linearly. Which means your damage will get outpaced starting from the mid-game. Late game, the bosses start to hit you for 45-80% of your HP while you will hit them for 3-4% of their HP:
If you build damage, you deal 4% and take 80-100% of your HP per boss hit.
If you build tank, you deal 3% and take 30-45% per boss hit.
Either way, the boss fight will take 60-90 minutes and will cycle through the same 3 mechanics.

PRO TIP: enable "auto-victory" and click it often.
