A very nice demo demonstrating the resulting 3D mesh that is generated from using holographic photography in a set of locations.

Worth the $10. Would like to see more games in this "universe".

Almost a quarter of a century ago. I remember a game called "Buck Rogers: Countdown to Doomsday." I was around 10 at the time and one of the few in my circle of friends to have a PC. We didn't have the internet back then. The game's anti-piracy measure was to include a paperback book with the game, from which you would have to lookup words at a specific page and line on start-up.

I was probably too young for the game at the time. I didn't make it far before my characters would start dying off due to venomous stings from the early creatures you encountered. That said, the game still left an impression on me to the kinds of experiences games can deliver.

Flash-forward to today. I have never played Wasteland. I have played Diablo 1-3, Fallout 3 & New Vegas, Dragonage Origins, and various other RPG games and games with RPG elements (350+ hours in Borderlands 2, come to mind).

This game takes me back to that time trying to play Buck Rogers. I've grown older, but that means I've also gained the experiences that would help me appreciate this game for what it is.

This game is NOT Fallout 3, or New Vegas. Yes, some of the New Vegas guys were involved. This is because they _love_ RPGs, and not just 3D games with RPG elements. Think closer in genre to Fallout 1&2, but not the same style of story.

If you are new to RPG games, try something else first. In fact, try a few others first. If you make this your first RPG like I did for Buck Rogers, you'll get lost, frustrated, and give up after the first couple missions. Go play Diablo 2 first (not 3, don't get me started about 3).

If you are experienced in RPG and RPG style games and are looking for an "advanced" experience. This is a game for you.
