Made a new account and got into Hall of Masters within five days :D If you know what you're doing you can stick to one strategy and level your towers up as you climb, and not have the "exp grind" be an issue. I used the meta strat that everyone else is using, at a high level of play not much stands up to it. But until you reach ZOMG/HoM people don't really know how to play it and you can at the very least achieve ZOMG with your own strategy. (I got to 97 trophies on my main account with my own strategy but ultimately had to become a meta slave to comfortably achieve Hall of Masters). Unlocking all of the monkeys even with the 3x VIP boost does take a little while, but personally I didn't mind, it wasn't what I'd consider a huge grind, and I believe it's a good way to make sure new players get the hang of every upgrade they are buying, rather than just being overwhelmed with hundreds of options with everything unlocked. There is no way to actually "buy" experience with real life money, so ultimately you must play a fair amount even if you want to pay your way to experience gain.

Once the game receives a tiny bit more balancing I think it will be even more fun at higher levels of play. If you're just looking to play casually in lower ranks you really won't notice how strong the top strat at the moment is (which is sub farm druid as of writing). Having played the bloons series since I was back in middle school I had to try this, and have been really enjoying it. I felt a good sense of achievement from the ranked games I played.

Some of the reviews on this page are so cringe it is upsetting. Below average players complaining about balance before they even understand the game, parroting streamers from HoM where what they're saying actually applies. I'm sure anyone who's achieved a high rank in a competitive video game knows the type of player I'm talking about lmfao. The game is fun, very well balanced for what it is, and if a strategy is "broken" you always have the option to play it yourself and outplay your opponent.

It's a nice game to play with friends but it can be frustrating when you have a team full of bots or hoovies and you want to win, and there are quite a few cheaters :( but they get kicked sometimes

its fun there are zombies but i wish u could turn the jumpscare level down because its very scary omg zombies in cupboards

Really enjoying this game as a little casual thing to relax. Anyone saying it's pay to win can't afford £0.05 on the steam market for one of the best guns... Idiots lmao

Got this game today. 12 Hours played so far!

Love it! Beautiful thirdperson graphics just enough anime/cartoony-ness in them to not be cheesy and childlish. I've only played as a monk so far but it seems like all the classes are pretty awesome to play as :P
