This is the kind of game that uses resources like an AAA game, for a 25 minutes experience of bad UI design.

Oh, and is there a game actually?

Hands down, one of the best games of its kind I’ve ever played. Somewhere between an escape room and a point-and-click, it offers an immersive experience beyond measure, with carefully crafted graphics, engaging acting, and incredibly believable characters; just what you’d expect in a classic manor-thriller. The setting and atmosphere are simply perfect, and the story is original, occasionally moving, and well-structured. I couldn’t ask for more.

In case anyone’s wondering, the game has no jumpscares, although there were a couple of moments where I had the uncontrollable urge to take off my headset (spiders, anyone? And yes, you actually have to interact with them… and I’m arachnophobic!)

It’s a real shame it’s already over, I could have played for many hours more. I wish there were more games like this. I don’t think I ever needed any hints, which means the puzzles were never frustrating, though they weren’t super easy either. (For some calculation-based puzzles, like filling chessboards or predicting the opponent’s moves, I relied on my calculator-minded partner, as I’m hopelessly bad at this!)

Highly recommended, a feast for the eyes and ears. There are some lag issues when opening doors, which can cause motion sickness over time (we took turns playing in half-hour sessions to avoid feeling unwell), but it’s probably more due to our hardware than the game itself (we’re playing on Steam with Oculus Link on an older Oculus Quest).

On a bitter note, so sad to see that no translator was mentioned in the credits, Localsoft being the only one displayed. Support your translators, they're incredibly valuable! Show them the due respect! #TranslatorsInTheCredits

Did I mention it was amazing? BUY IT!

A very well conceived mix between a point and click and an escape the room game. The riddles are never too frustrating, everything is quite linear but not too easy. The hint system makes it even easier to navigate - I think I only used it a couple of times, though, when I was mostly tired or too lazy to think. Graphics are original and neat, the game runs smoothly and it was overall a very enjoyable experience.
Except for...
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, the Italian translation is one of the worst I've seen in my life, and I swear I've seen things that you humans...
Please, do yourselves a favor and hire a professional translator for the next games, it is absolutely cringey.
Makes me want to unsee what I saw.
Anyway, I'll be delighted to play more of these games. Provided they have a decent localization ^__^

Great job!

Wow, this was definitely something new and original! I think it was since the days of Baba is you that I wasn't this amazed by new dynamics in a game! I have to say this game might not be for everyone; it can be sometimes slow and you need to have a keen eye for details, but it is a delighting experience with an adorable and quite deep/relatable plot and cool characters. Of course, being a fan of word games helps to enjoy this cute game :)

Kudos for the whole endeavour, this nice gem is a true work of creativity and love! Highly recommended|

Although I am used to slow games and I usually appreciate introspective and sensitive narratives, I wasn't deeply involved in this game. The story is good and very relatable, so credible that I even shed a tear at the end, when we find out what happens in the future, but the dynamics are simply boring and stiff, I basically kept scrolling left and right spamming "interact" button hoping to grab objects that were sometimes too hidden or merged to the background to even notice. I fell asleep twice while playing and in the end I almost felt like it was a chore to finish it. It was still worth to see the ending, but it could have been a way more enjoyable experience, had it been a bit less static. Also, apart from 2/3 very good actors, the voice acting is incredibly poor and doesn't deliver at all, making it all even duller. It's sad, and it's a pity, because the story could have deserved a more polished and smooth gameplay. I don't feel like recommending it, it almost seems like a game that could be developed during a game jam. Sorry, don't mean to be cruel to the team, you can actually feel how much they cared about the script and the depth of some characters, but it's mainly shallow for the whole duration.

Cute, simple, entertaining and incredibly accurate. I could relate very well to most of the insomniac situations depicted in this game. Loved it!!!

This little gem is a charming storytelling pearl and a celebration of a true story; everyone should play it. Don't be fooled by a start that might seem slow or childish – wonder is guaranteed with an unexpected plot twist at the end.

I knew the story of this village, but when I downloaded the game, I didn't make the mental connection. I just had the feeling that Nagoro was a familiar name, that's it. And knowing the true story, the moment I realized that the delightful little story I had been playing was nothing but a prelude to show what actually happened to that town... I burst into tears, and I thought there couldn't be a more beautiful way to honor the memory of a village and the person who continues to keep it alive. Thank you for designing a game that allows Nagoro's story to reach even more people.

I had downloaded this game without much expectation, mostly because we never have enough interesting games to play on VR. We started it, along with the one set in the 90's, then we somehow grew tired of it, possibly because we were stuck and because back then a cable was required to run Steam VR. We decided to give it a second chance and I am SO GLAD we did! As soon as we passed the moment where we were previously struggling, the game started to be more intense, with some creepy moments (not creepy, but I get easily scared by dark rooms and dolls/plushes lurking in the dark). Well, what a blast! There was even an unexpected plot twist at the end, end when we thought it couldn't get any better, the game "changed", revealing many surprises. We were so happy to reach the end, super fun! It ran smoothly, the visual quality was very good and movements/physics were legit. I definitely recommend this chapter and I will give a second chance to the 90's chapter too :) Congrats, hope you'll release more games like this!

As expected from Amanita, Creaks lives up to their creators' names and granted some lovely hours of pure poetry and awe. We were not expecting it to be so long (almost 7 hours in our case), which is a great plus! Of course, after the game, we had to check some interviews and background; it was lovely to end up watching The Pied Piper from Jiří Barta :)

I don't think I'll ever get enough of Amanita's taste. Great job, guys!

Once again we have to compare this to Overcooked, as it was our first couch coop love at first play, and we keep looking for more and more similar titles.
At first we felt like it wouldn't live up to our expectations, since it felt a little too easy, but the difficulty is fair enough when it comes to completing the 4 hourglasses in every level, plus it is less frustrating than Overcooked, so it's totally recommended if you're looking for a cool challenging game which you can also enjoy while relaxing (not too much!).

In our top three for the couch coop genre, along with the aforementioned Overcooked and Out of space. We'll definitely get the DLC soon.
