Review Showcase
For almost ±7 years, I've been waiting this game on PC (Musou lovers probably too). It feels good playing Warriors Orochi again. Back when I was a kid, I used to grinding Warriors Orochi 1-2 to get legendary weapon / 4th weapon for each character and then fusion it with best weapon attributes. Man... enjoying from the 1st series to this (3rd series)... With all due respect thank you KOEI for bringing this perfect creation of Orochi series to Steam. And I'll bet you'll get best experience by playing this game. And now I just go with the list instead 'cause there are many features that makes WO3 Ultimate is the perfect creation.
Characters
Over 120 playable officers from the heroes of DW7 and SW3. But in Ultimate, KOEI added some crossovers characters such as Ayane, Momiji, and Kasumi from Dead or Alive. Achilles from WARRIORS: Legends of Troy. Ryu Hayabusa & Rachel from NINJA GAIDEN. Sophitia from Soul Calibur. et cetera.

Weapon
What's new in 3rd series are Mystic weapons, X weapons, and Misc. weapons like fighting with a paddle (?). Mystic Weapons can be obtained by completing additional mission you can find on guide created by nicky (each character has different missions), while I still can't figure it out how to obtained X Weapons but I guess you need to find some materials to craft it or sworn ally in Gauntlet Mode, IIRC. I only got Sima Zhao's & Ma Chao's X Weapon.

Plot
the first plot tells a story of 3 remaining heroes of China & Japan travel through time with a help from Mystic named Kaguya to save their comrades from certain doom that was caused by Kiyomori Taira, Da Ji, and a serpent beast named Hydra. Time after time the 3 remaining heroes managed to save their comrades and begin to make a coalition. The heroes of China & Japan and the Mystics are fighting together to defeat Hydra once and for all.

The sequel begins In the Ultimate that tells a story of an antagonist named Tamamo who seals many warriors of China & Japan and create doppelgangers of 'em with a mystic mirror named Divine Mirror, causing chaos and conflict within the Coalition. Depending on the progression, Tamamo is not yet defeated but the sealed warriors are released. After that, the warriors travel back through Fu Xi's memories when Orochi had not existed yet to find a Divine Mirror in an attempt to seal Tamamo from causing further conflicts. They gratefully had the Divine Mirror from the Heavenly Emperor but they had failed to seal Tamamo. Instead, the power of the Divine Mirror had revealed her true form, Kyubi no Kitsune (9 Tails Fox) and the warriors aren't give up yet to seal Kyubi.

The plot has 3 different endings, which are unlocked through certain requirements.

Level
Level is now capped to Lvl. 100 & has a promotion in Ultimate version. You can promote each officer 9 times if they have reach Lvl. 100. And in the 1st promote, officer gains additional proficiency. Each promote will receive upgrading stones, which you can use to increase officer stats like Life, Attack, Defense, and Musou maxed out to 999 while speed only maxed out to 200.

Modes
WO3U offers 3 new modes, first is Duel Mode where you can take on with AI or player in a 3v3 fighting game. Gauntlet Mode is kinda long to tell honestly but it's a difficult mode IMO. And my favorite one, Musou Battlefield is a custom stage made by community or by yourself, so you can upload your own stage or download from community.

In addition
New user interface, especially 'Select Officer' screen & officer's lines in-battle game are my favorite. Color editor (can be used by clearing the final chapter). 8 chapters to play and some bonus stages like Redux (A replay battle after changing the past) and Mirror Realm (A battle to find Kyubi & her tails). Speaking of DLC, they included but I guess not all of it.
P.S. Warriors Orochi OST is full of banger. Some of my favorite are Ryu Hayabusa Theme, Samurai Scanners, Theme of Lu Bu, Kotodama Runner, Flying Kung Fu, Bamboo Paradise, Welcome Back, Squared Air. Limpid Luster.
