A very atmospheric and charming game but it's also a game that will dramatically go from relaxing PvE questing to a series of very heated battles with either skelly ships or actual players...

Here's an example of my previous play session:
>Crew of 4 people
>One is a veteran since launch and others, including myself whom are relatively new
>We decided to take up the Reaper faction and do reaper chest hunting and skull forts to cash in for fat money stacks
>Things going well, bested tons of skelly ships one after the other
>We all progressed through the reaper faction enough and got the costumes so we ended looking like a band of cultists...
>It was getting late, like 3am late
>Saw a skull fort pop up and we collectively agreed to make it our last run before hitting the hay
>Skull fort was going well and we completed it with no issues
>Take some pictures of ourselves and our crew with the loot.
>Plunder a bunch of really good loot along with some gunpowder kegs that fetch a modest price with the reapers vendor
>Placed all of our loot on the rowboat including the powder kegs and sailed to the ship
>Upon the rowboat docking with our ship we had just started to transfer the cargo to the captains quarters
>Suddenly a load explosion and the next second all of us on the ship died and the ship immediately sunk
>One crew member left on the island who witnessed our loot and riches going down with the ship to eventually resurface on to the water
>After questioning what happened there was one crew member who was silent during the whole thing
>He very quietly said the word "miss clicked" in a very ashamed tone
>We all plummeted into despair pretty quickly
>We decided to do what we could and once respawned we attempted to race back to the island to grab the loot that the crew member who was left behind was keeping safe for us.
>Crew member left on the island advised a player ship was heading towards the island

>We raced the ship as fast as we could but their ship had already plundered all the loot and sailed off.
>Gave chase after the ship which turned out to be a sloop with 2 people which was a lot smaller than galleon of 4 members
>We was confident we could sink them and take back the loot
>The sloop of 2 turned out to be very skillfull players who sneaked on to our ship to lower our anchor to slow us down
>The 2 pirates had consistently shot us dead each time we revived.
>Two members of our group, namely the one who was left on the island and the one who caused the mess in the first place had both rage quit at this point.
>Me and the veteran in our crew left who felt we could still salvage what we could out of the situation.
>Decided to parlay with the enemy crew who turned out to actually be rather friendly
>Advised them of what happened to us originally
>Veteran crewmember asked if we could alliance with their crew (they would still get 100% reward while we would get a cut of 50%)
>Enemy crew accepted on one condition
>We both had to sing them a song
>Me and the vet decided to sing "Let It Go" to the best of our ability at 4:00am
>Enemy crew loved our act and decided to allow a truce and alliance
>Me and the vet boarded their ship and sailed to the reaper island and we got a 50% cut of all the loot profits instead of 0% if we had given up earlier.
>Had a good chuckle and laugh with the other crew and we all logged off to sleep.

10/10 would stay up at 4am to sing frozen to a bunch of strangers for loot again

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ what a beautiful game!
By the time I finished the game I realized the games story was structured the same way as a film like Pulp Fiction, so naturally everything was everywhere and such.

Only things I have to complain about my experience with the game is how quickly some characters was killed off early on in the game though there is a whole range of characters that you play as through out the game so the game never leaves you empty handed.

There was some parts of the game where I didn't feel the Hotline Miami vibes all too much and those parts where whenever I played as a character that didn't wear a mask. Sort of took out the feeling of being a masked vigilante homicidal murderer which made me sad BUT it kept the game feeling fresh from start to finish.

I just did a little taster of what hard mode is like and ♥♥♥♥, is it cruel but I am more than willing to replay Hotline Miami 2 over and over again because its so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun.

I don't really need to say this but the soundtrack is the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ titties

Great game! Hours of play and endless looting.

Great game! Can be very hard to start off but once you have played it a while you get better and improve! Highly addictive and strongly competitive but a lot of fun!So many heroes to choose from as well so strategies are endless-EDIT 2023- The part about getting better and improving was a lie I am still ♥♥♥♥ at the game please help
