Not as good and immersive as the first one.. I completed the game within 18 hours.
The research tree is also weird, some upgrades are obviously better than the others.
Buy on discount.

This game was executed great, but its lack of content is hidden by metaprogression. The more blocks you mine, the more exp you get to upgrade your spider mech. After upgrading your mech fully, you would realise that the game is just very short, you have a few choices of traversing up or down the wall, but either way once you have collected the five objects, you can just make your way up and auto-end the game..

Game is addictive, but repetitive as hell too.
I bought this because I enjoy games like these, but I wouldn't reccomend now for its limited content and modes unless you have money to spend.

Do yourself a favour, save the money don't get this game.

The game is too simple and its an insult to those who like to strategise floorplans and traps layouts. Traps firstly are not very lethal, they are just a deterrent. To earn gold, you run schemes at the world map, it can be extremely tedious when you have alot of regions and you have to constantly run schemes after one expire. The room is horrifyingly bland, most rooms only have one interactive object, the rest are just decorations. What's the point of broken toilet door? The enemy or minions doesn't interact with it, its just to look nice to the human player.. for those who enjoy strategy gamse will not be appeased here, there are so much better games. Regretted buying this.

After playing this for 22 hours, I must say it has been one hell of a ride. Its a nostalgia trip back to XCOM without having to worry about cover but more on your current position. At the highest difficulty, the limits of your tactical prowess are tested to its limits. You need to shoot and advance/retreat at the same time constantly. Thankfully while this is a roguelike, for now, you can return to the main menu and retry again. Why go for the easy mission when you could strive for the harder ones and reward yourself for the hard work?

This also has a bit of management in terms of heating and healing etc., thinking which modules synergise with which one. While losing a mech is not the end, it can be a total gamechanger in the midst of battle. You can't play this for one hour and decide whether you like this game or not, this game is made from love. You can tell the developers put in a lot of effort in this, from the design of the weapons and support modules. The game is simple, yet has many lessons for you to learn.

While the current state of the game is not perfect, the developers have been responsive and immediately fixed some of the minor and severe bugs I found through the time I played. They are active in the forum as well, if you have questions or need any help.

This is actually one of the games I actually wrote a lengthy review for. And it runs in ultra-widescreen too! Definitely worth the price. I am looking forward to future QOL updates and hopefully a scoreboard where I can see the past teams and their scores.

Completed the game in 10 hours. Nothing to do after that, unless you want to continue to play endlessly. But you can't play endlessly because most likely you have used all the spaces for towers. You can continue to grind and upgrade your weapons, but it is pretty much randomised and not worth the time and resources.

Overall, the game has one sound strategy, which is unlocking all the abilities and filling tower board with a mix of towers. There is only way to win this game and it is to use your shield ability and that archer skill. It is very primitive in its gameplay. No provoking of deep thinking, should i build this tower in front or beside this tower. If you have played tower defense you would know that there are towers that boost other towers. In this game, there is none, it is basically survive, use the resource to build more towers and that's it. This could be a mobile game for all I know.

Ultimately, very disappointed. Could have been more. Saying that this game has more updates to come is inexcusable. I bought a released game, I am reviewing the experience of a released game, not a game that has potential to be better (or worse) in the future.

Decent game, I enjoy the puzzles, lots of variety in the puzzle. Completed in less than 5.5 hours, no reason to replay it even though I missed out some collectibles. Ending could be better for sure. Personally I reccomend Shadow of the Tomb Raider over this as this doesn't have much replay value and reason to go back and collect things. If you like space and scifi games or movies like Interstellar, you will enjoy this one, I guess.

"Take this as a mobile game not a pc game."

As a Hades' Star player of close to 2 years. I advise the starters who just installed this, play it with this mentality in mind, this was meant to be a mobile game. The introduction of the pc version to steam is a huge quality of life improvement for the hardcore players in mind. To appeal to both casual and veteran players.

This is no pay to win game.

If you play with the intention to spend and boost yourself, you will soon find yourself running out of money, with so many more upgrades to spend on. It takes time, dedication and patience to farm, upgrade and see your system through. There will be countless times where you lose your ships due to mistakes and sheer carelessness, rise up and soon you will find that this game teaches you to be a better player each time.

Every red star run, blue star run, white star run, has its own takeaway.

Are you going to be the one to learn the mechanics and become the master strategist or are you going to be the one who whines on whims of broken mechanics and unfair matching? Everything this game throws at you, is meant to make you stronger, it separates the men from the kids.

This is a real time chess game, nothing less.

Bought it, run it on my 3 years old gaming laptop hooked to a external Dell 1080p LCD with a GT970m card. Game looks beautiful on high settings and runs very smoothly, no crashes at all, feels more optimised than freaking PUBG at first launch. I also immediately connected my logitech controller, it works flawlessly. But that's just one opinion, please check your system requirements before trying to buy and run it.

I got this game by accident, I bought the humble monthly bundle for Total War Warhammer, and in the end, I played Space Run Galaxy more than Warhammer. I guess the number of hours speak for itself. The videos and screenshots may seem measel to showing what the game is all about, but trust me, once you played the yourself. You will enjoy every grinding, farming for the components you need, building the parts you need, and annihilating from the smallest pirate ship, to the biggest crystal abomination of the galaxy. Every space run is, worth the run.

Amazing game, and if you do play online, please select US server, as EU server is pretty much deserted.
