Very charming twin stick shooter. I like the use of the Vtuber voice clips and BGMs

Very good class based FPS roguelite. Each character/class feels unique each build path feels viable that are complimented by your scrolls(power ups with different effects).

Most fun I had was in co-op making busted builds by swapping scrolls. Highly recommend for the replayablity and build crafting

Fast paced FPS roguelite with good gunplay and a great soundtrack! If you enjoy Gunfire Reborn, you will like this too.

Gacha game turned gacha-less. it's a fun game with Bite sized Mega Man levels where you get to potentially play as one of your favorite characters. Only gripe is due to licensing, we don't have the collab characters from the gacha game like Vergil-Zero or Zinogre-Iris

There's a lot going in! You have base building on top of roguelite, platforming and stealth elements. You capture little fellas to expand your base and run missions. Each person has quirks which may help or hinder your playstyle. You can then use your team of little fellas to improve your homebase. I thought it was a pain at first but find it fun to navigate around for the extra challenge. I like how I can teeter between a guns blazing approach and stealth approach depending on the mission.

Give it a go if you like stealth based platformers!

It was a Proton issue on Steam Deck. Great game AND helpful devs. Give it a go if you like action roguelikes with gorgeous sprite art

A fast paced action roguelike. Feels quite punishing early on but hang in there! At the time of review, I run into freezing/crashing every so often on the Steam Deck but I am hopeful for improvement.

Great game for all your battle network fans. One Step From Eden is hard as hell though.I haven't found ways to consistently win. Stack shields, get cards that root or slow down enemies and learn each boss's gimmick!!
ALSO,in between battles CHECK YOUR DECK AND SET YOUR FOCUS. This gives you a better chance at finding the same type of cards as you focus and helps make deck building more consistent. RNG be RNG tho.

TL;DR: Check this out of you're a fan of roguelike platformers with a story! This game has a permanent upgrades through a skill tree, platforming with secrets to find, unlockable loadouts AND AUTO SAVE.

As of writing this, I've unlocked the 3rd world/biome. The levels are randomly generated and vary in size; You defeat all enemies to advance to the next level. Mini-map shows you the level layout and marks monsters & loot chests. Every few levels there will be a rest stop, where you can buy & sell items for gold(gold is lost on death!),synthesize two items for a chance at a new item of higher rarity, item crafting(with all recipes unlocked as far as I can tell). To leave the rest stop, you either can either rest to full health or explore a nearby 1-level vault for a rare loot. I enjoyed the vault section, they kept me on my toes with the platforming and puzzle solving! After repeating the cycle levels -> rest stop -> levels, you'll reach the boss of the world. Until you beat that world, you will face a story related boss. Once you beat the story boss, they will be replaced with a boss monster on subsequent runs. Boss monsters drop rare weapons and crafting materials, so it pays to rerun worlds!!

Clearing a world or dying returns you back to base(once you clear the tutorial)! Your room has a vault where you can store 6 items, unlockable loadouts to choose from and a training room to practice with different equipment. Loadouts are unlocked once you complete a set of items These items can either be found in chests, bought from NPCs or crafted. Once you've picked up or made the item, it's considered unlocked for the set. No need to store that in your vault unless you really like that item!!

Similar to the rest stop, you can synthesize items on hand, craft items or buy items with CC instead of gold. I believe crafting and synthesis are unlocked after you clear the first world. CC is a permanent currency that remains between runs! It can found in treasure chests during runs, bought from a NPC that randomly appears in levels or awarded when you die. CC can be used to unlock permanent upgrades for your character. Varies from max health increase, to resistance from certain status effects to damage increases once you unlock the second skill NPC.

As of writing,I'm 10 hours deep and can't seem to put this down. I had fun with the platforming sections and am currently trying to unlock more loadouts!

Filled the void Dead Island created! I enjoyed how I could scavenge and craft most of the things I needed.Loved the hardcore parkour elements but unlocking the Hookshot made the game 10x more enjoyable. There's $3 USD DLCs that add cosmetics and weapon blueprints. I have only bought two but I felt they were nice bonuses to the game rather than something I absolutely needed.
