Retains the feel of a solid reliable family classic but the changes and additions also introduce enjoyable new elements. I'm a fan.

Early Access Review
Probably the worst game I own, even considering it never having left Early Access.

It has an eye-crossing color schema, the play is clunky and visually disjointed from the audio tracking... I mean, the few bits that ever actually worked are all pretty buggy so the game crashes on a fairly regular basis even when functioning at its best.

Wouldn't even gift this to someone. Garbage.

Great puzzle game, especially considering the price. Super addictive.

I acquire and play through a ton of Indie games for research and enjoyment, but few of them have been as enjoyable as Risk of Rain. It's not just the lovely color palette, cool monsters, exciting items or even the incredible class options... what I love most are the rythems and the pace of play. I honestly find it easier to think clearly and work through daily projects when I use a bit of game time to break up my efforts.

Excellent game is excellent.

While it's an entirely masculine game in the sense that none of the playable characters are female, the modes of play are all enjoyably familiar and the classes are pretty well balanced with plenty of variability. My favorite reason to play is the class diversity: the soldier feels like playing an old school FPS like Quake 1 or something while the engineer feels a lot more like playing a tower defense game. It's a lot of fun.

And Yet It Moves wound up being a total joy to play. They've steadily added content since the game release which was innovative and beautiful to begin with as a result of its unique control style and the clever cardboard cutout look. There's sort of a multi-player aspect with the ability to compete against other players play-through recordings but I haven't played with it too much honestly, I just like the look of it. I've spent around 15 hours playing so far and I'll probably play a great deal more before I put it down... I haven't played through all the added content yet and I kinda want to start from the beginning again.

I've had a good run at this game and I've really really enjoyed it. I've been quite impressed by the weapons and character progression and enemies... it's really been a lot of fun. Like all things, there are parts I could see being different or better but I'd say overall this game is worth paying for if you dig Action RPGs and FPSs.

This is easily one of the coolest games I've played in years. It seems like the perfect combination of Zelda dungeons and total lunacy. I love it.
