It depends on which engine you use. RPG Maker 2000 and 2K3 is worthless for that but RMXP and VX/VXA is capable of PG (though limited in to some extent). That junkie game sounds awesome. But I'm going to be frank when I say that we probably shouldn't expect any sort of money working within any RPG Maker Engine. Someone of your skillset is going to feel very constricted--especially if you you're familar with python or ruby. RGSS is a neutered form of ruby. And you're right about the free time. I'm doing a data entry job right now that pays ♥♥♥♥ and it's only a 25 hour a week job. I'm still clean off of opioids through so I'm lucky in a few ways. Unfortunately I think alcohol is starting to replace them. It has got to the point where I cannot even fathom going a night without drinking--through I only drink a pint per night so that isn't too bad I guess.
