So this is the first review I ever write on Steam, and it couldn't have been a better game to start it with.

I started playing in 2018. At first, I almost refunded this game. I had a little over an hour of playtime and I knew nothing about the game or the witcher lore. Didn't play other games, didn't read any books. Nothing. It was boring and I haven't played anything similar to it, which scared me at first. But oh boy am I glad I kept on playing. It turned out to be the best game I have ever played and, to this day, a game I can always count with when I'm feeling down and/or looking for a solid game to play. I'm currently on my 6th playthrough, and even though I might have done everything (DLCs, quests, races, fights, card collection, places of interest and so on) I still have so much fun playing it. It has completely ruined other games for me, as no other games are even near as perfect as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is for me. So if you're scared you won't enjoy or understand this game if you haven't played other games, don't be. Although it took me three playthroughs to completely understand the game and all it's characters and their relations, I didn't mind not understanding it the first two times thanks to the excellent gameplay and interesting world.

Also, don't forget about mods. Maybe not on your first playthrough, or even second, but then. Oh man there are some great mods out there. Add me if you want any suggestions.

Conclusion: if you value your social life and want to enjoy other gam... Just get this game! You won't regret it.
