Initially thought that this was going to be another HK dupe, but was very rudely and pleasantly blown away by how amazing this game was. First look at the game: art style, music, and story telling were cohesively and distinctly enchanting and just draw you into the Chinese-inspired world. Love the semi-gore elements present throughout the game as well, which added to the dark and sombre undertone of the game.

As a die hard platformer fan, I was initially worried about the parrying mechanism and how it would affect the gameplay, as it was not something that I was used to. This worry was unfounded - from the first map, realised that the parrying system was buttery smooth, and the game makes it a point to give enough room for practice (plenty of mobs) before more serious and challenging applications (boss fights).

Heard from within the community that specific boss fights were EXTREMELY challenging, but found that they were balanced and reasonably challenging and could be cleared within a couple attempts, with the exception of the true final boss that took a couple hours lol. Battles are varied in nature and was very enjoyable and keeps you hooked. Hoping that the team would create DLCs and expand the game!
