Early Access Review
Imagine if EA/DICE combined BF3 and BF4 together without there being tons of bugs and with great performance.

Just a fantastic game. Early/Mid/Late game have been thought out really well so every section of it is super fun and enjoyable.
Once your run is over, you can choose to "save" by franchising your run and choose the best 3 cards you got and start again so you dont "lose your progress". A brilliant alternative from just having to start again completely fresh. Each franchise goes up in tiers so you end up stacking cards.
The game is designed to make you lose eventually but players are still finding new META/Strats to overcome the difficulties ahead.
The RNG with every aspect of the game just adds to the replayability, so every run really does feel new.
Finally, the official discord community are really helpful and kind. You can LFG there but playing locally with friends or even solo is worth it.

Bought this game on CDKEYS 50% off. I know I have only played for 3 hours but it was enough for me to go back to WH2. I know WH2 is not a perfect game with doomstacking/siege cheeses but I feel that could of been fixed with unit caps and Lords/Heros being more vulnerable to defensive towers.

I find that the main problem I have with this game is how much minor settlement battles there are compared to Land Battles. You must do them all manually as auto resolve will smash your army. I find them incredibly boring and the settlements are all built like mazes with defensive towers shredding your army.

Your best best is to have 4 units on a flank (something fast) to cap their "victory area" and pull their defences to one side with your whole army that sits out of range. Or, you just find the best entrance and full zerg it.

I know theres a mod that takes takes away minor settlement battles but at this point I'm just going back to WH2. This game will have you rarely defending your settlements, you will be experience the attacking side most of the time.

I have a GTX 1080 w/ a Ryzen 7 5800G running it on a NVME with my GPU capped at 60fps playing on medium settings with Ultra unit size. I will get temps at around 86/90 degrees and I really don't want to be playing this game on low settings. I feel like the recomended graphics card definitley should not be a GTX 1660ti as you would definitley be running into issues with that.

EDIT:

I have started playing again now and I am really enjoying it. There has been I think 6 patches since I last played and the game has been better optimised with better changes. Settlement battles rarely happen as much now and I am getting use to the new siege rework.
The new factions are awesome, a well needed breath of fresh air and the map is HUGE. I am glad my favourite game has got better and with the road map it looks like they will keep updating this game for years to come.

IMPORTANT
I am on a 1080 and I was having temp issues. If you get MSI afterburner and do a quick youtube tutorial on how to undervolt your GPU. That has brought my temps down from
Campaign map (84-90 degrees to 72-76)
Battle Map (76-82 degrees to 70-72)
with no loss to performance. I was able to increase my graphics which bumped my GPU temperature to somewhere that I am happy with.

The campaign map could be optimised a little bit more. It really does MELT your GPU.
