DayZ is a really intimate game, where you need to cooperate with your friends in order to survive. There are moments of fear when your life is at risk, but then there are moments when you have time to rest and look at the stars. The game feels beautifull and is very flexible in terms of crafting items and player customization. There are many clothing items that make you stylish but also protect you against the enviroment. There is a definite map you play on and it requires patience and good orientation to meet up with your friends if you get sepertated. It is important to mention the zombie glitches which allows them to run through doors and fences making it an unplesent game of life and death. However the game is still in beta so this doesn't ruin the experience (The DayZ blog allready announced that zombie pathfinding has been fixed).
If you have friends to play with this game is incredibly fun, beautiful and involving. If you play alone the experience might not be quite the same. You strugle to get food, clothes and above all weapons or ammo. Even if you manage to survive and kit out being a lone wolf in such a great environment will quickly become boring. This game is a coop.
