For The King is one of the best D&D interpretations as a board game out there; it's simple enough to just pick up and play, it's a lot of fun with friends, and it really incorporates the seesaw of dice mechanics well.
I have not laughed harder in weeks than when I was made 'confused' by an enemy, and they immediately made me just run away from the battle.
The combat is fun, the exploration is fun, the entire game is just a joy through and through.
Definitely recommend.

If you're a fan of tabletop gaming of any kind whether it's just Chess, Poker, or more advanced ones like Dungeons & Dragons or Warhammer, this is the ideal game for you.
It allows a huge, versatile range of games to be played, and you can even create your own.

Islanders is an adorable little game that blends the city-builder genre with puzzle. You have to strategically place buildings in order to accrue enough points to secure the next 'pack', and in each pack is another set of buildings (for example the Farm Pack, City Pack, Brewery Pack..) for you to place down to get more points, etc.

For such a price point, it's fantastic.

Warframe is a glorified Mid-2000s Facebook game with valueless rewards and waiting times that serve nobody but Digital Extremes.
Have fun bullet jumping around an empty field while you're waiting 5 days for the Warframe you spent a week grinding for is crafted, or maybe spend that time grinding for Prime parts in order to garner enough to finally buy that $5 scarf you've been looking at for a while.

While the gameplay is fun, the mechanics and monetisation system is abhorrent at best. The forced waiting times paired with the grinding needed in order to acquire the materials adds an array of layers that result in insane amounts of time needed in order to get even the most basic of items.

People defend this decision simply because it's 'free', and if you don't like the waiting times it's a 'you problem'. Tell me, as a hypothetical - if a game is pay to win, shamelessly so, if you don't have the money to have better stats than everyone else, is that a 'you problem'? Is it a 'you problem' because you suffer from a condition which means you can't stick with things for more than short bursts at a time, and don't have the attention span to spend ~1hour every day playing this grindfest to make it rewarding? Apparently so.

I recommend this game to anyone who enjoys waiting in the DMV waiting line, or thinks the best part of cooking is waiting for it to bake in the oven.

Pros:
Cute cats.
Big swords.

Cons:
Horribly optimised.
No ultrawide support.
Forced motion blur.
Forced mouse acceleration.
Controls clearly not thought of for PC.
~60FPS on all lowest settings on a 970.
Multiplayer is clunky and complicated to get working.
Controls feel slow and delayed.

Wait a few months for some good patches that fix performance, right now I can't recommend it at all.

'funny haha random' battle royale game stops being fun after a few games (if you can get into any). surprising they have the gall to charge for this game soon in its current state.

RimWorld is the penultimate colony survival game.

Objective

The main objective of the game is to escape this 'rimworld' that you crash-landed on, and get back into space. However, most people simply ignore this and treat it as a survival game to see how much you can build up your colony and build a ship yourself (which is fair enough!).
Don't think you'll be getting there in hours, though. I've got almost 50 hours and haven't even come close. Whether it's a mad beaver biting everyone and giving them infections that slowly kills them, or one person just can't take it anymore and goes on a stabbing rampage that wipes out anyone and everyone, there's always something that pops up.

However, I never feel like that's a fault of the game - you always learn something.

I thoroughly recommend RimWorld to anyone who enjoys colony survival or basebuilding games - but be prepared, it's pretty damn hard.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 is about as close to a DnD game as you can get.
Beautiful visuals, music and fantastic customisation make it a thoroughly enjoyable game that is only further enhanced by the intense, strategic combat and lovely characters.
