Early Access Review
Overall solid boomer shooter, a blend of fear and doom. There are a few problems with it though (I played the campaign on commander difficulty). Minor spoilers.

Enemy design: Visually enemies sometimes blends too much into the environment, gets uncomfortable to take a shot at a dark figure in an already dark area while smoke and muzzle flashes are flying around. Sometimes enemies themselves blend into eachother, If enforcers didnt talk I would have always mistook them as rifleman at a quick glance, the few times that did happen It felt unfair to get lit up because I couldnt notice the slightly tall model of the enforcer.

Gameplay wise there are some head scratchers; juggernaut feels too easy to take down from range (I killed the first and second one by just spamming the heavy pistol). Siegers would work excellently as a skirmisher that annoys you but they rarely attack in-tandem with ground enemies, just turning themselves into easy pickings. Plasma riflemen, even when they get the stun spider thing still just feels like a rifleman but better in everyway, feels lame and too tanky for an enemy wielding a high dmg weapon. Throughout the campaign I never understood what niche enforcers are meant to fulfil, they were kinda annoying but not hard to kill as long as you had cover. Snipers could use a slight nerf to how fast they shoot, It doesnt feel right to have a tf2 sniper fight in a singleplayer game. Rest are fine (apart from riflemans visual design)

As for the player: Dawn could use a slight speed boost, the super-sonic slide jumps clash badly with her regular forward movement and feels uncomfortable in combat. The flashlight should just be infinite use, it recharges in a second and I couldnt remember an encounter where the finite-charge was a factor to consider, right now its just a tedious attention check.

Guns: Some guns just persisted with feeling bad to use no matter how many upgrades I slapped onto them, and some upgrades straight up made their respective guns trash. Despite being an "all rounder" I couldnt find any use for the assault rifle outside of magdumping the "zombies" and groups of manhacks/spider mines, even though the smg is obviously meant to be the actual magdumping weapon. There is no reason to use any other alternate fire for the nail gun after obtaining the nail turrets, its just too good compared to its alternatives. Heavy pistols two/three burst altfire are useless since the gun is meant for medium range precision shots and the "elephant rounds" just make the gun unuseable trash. Dual SMGs overshadow anything else I've tried, the stun altfire just takes too long to justify using. The marksman rifle just feels like a gimmick you only pull out in sniper sections and the occasional long corridor. Rest are fine.

Environment design: Feels too dark and samey, there were times when I felt like the walls and hallways were blending into eachother especially in the hospital, streets and starlight building. Could use a little more brightness.

TL;DR Buy in a sale or if you are craving something similiar to ashes 2063, brace for lots of secret hunting

A more refined version of viscera cleanup detail (no more delicately picking up 100 bullet casings one by one) with a story to boot, game is relatively short depending on how efficient you work (i finished in about 12 hours with 100%'ing every level minus some secrets and one collectible). Looking forward for workshop support and more maps

Good game, best way i can explain it is the devs streamlined the car autism games like my summer car, the long drive etc and gave it an actual story and purpose beyond just driving and fine tuning. Could do with less absurd requirements for certain recipes but thats just a nitpick you can finish the game without even coming close to mopping up the tech tree

Bought this thinking it would be fun like edelweiss, but it just feels terrible to play. Most of the capture points are built in a way where the attacker is not only at a disadvantage but the actual capture zones themselves are very tiny, and i swear this game amplifies enemy spawns by 2x. By the third map I already accumulated 10k xp and every big blob i wipe another INSTANTLY takes its place without any downtime. This was not the case in base game or edelweiss, you could actually use your and friendlies own gear to push up without needing to spam 10 different fire support call ins to take over a chokepoint.

Dont waste your money, buy edelweiss or check out the workshop instead

Fun little short game that i got for dirt cheap (even by my countries standards). Basically an offline version of warfare online (RIP), anyone that remembers and played that game (or its flash versions) can get that itch over here. Also has a soundtrack that slaps harder than it has any right to.

If the devs are ever thinking of making a sequel, I'll be among the first ones to buy it (MULTIPLAYER WEN?!)

Very fun CRPG, heavy emphasis on dialogue rather than combat number crunching. One advice I would give to any newcomers is that be careful with your money, there are no bethesda style "radiant quests" to keep you on the grind with the reward of infinite money. You have a set of handmade side quests, some items you can pick up on said quests for extra cash and whatever else you can grab for free and sell on the hub world. After you're done with those thats it, no more cashflow. Get on with the main quest. Also dont bother buying permanent equipment for your companions, their guns and whatnot are upgraded automatically as the game goes on.
