Thanks Paradox. I still haven't bought all the DLC like I originally thought I would after almost 3000 hours of the game... I finally think I could start buying some of them though so maybe one DLC a month until I've caught up again. Who knows.

I don't like the idea of supporting this kind of excessive monetization, but with how much time I've spent with the game through the Expansion Subscription, it's hard not to want to just own the stuff permanently.

Really doesn't take much time to see that this is a very poor quality game compared to the many, MANY space games that already exist doing all these exact same things. The controls feel really bad compared to Satisfactory, which it's trying to emulate (though for some reason has crouch toggle on by default, sprint toggle off by default, when these two things should be swapped, in order to make the crouch-sliding actually work properly).

What possible reason would someone play this over No Man's Sky, Satisfactory, Ark, Planet Crafter, and a dozen other open-world space games?

I dunno. It's also unplayable at low graphics settings due to the game not even rendering all the objects, so things just don't exist that clearly do exist on medium graphics, and it looks absolutely horrid. I can play SH2 Remake, Satisfactory, whatever other UE5 games are out there perfectly fine, at higher graphics settings than this. And no, this does not have graphics on par with either of those games, and certainly not BETTER than those two games.

The clunky UI, really strange decisions for controls and the fact that you guys somehow don't even have the variable for controls to appear correctly in the tutorial is mind-boggling. In UE5 it's insanely easy to display whatever the currently active key/button is for any keybinding, and pop it into a UI Widget to explain what key you need to press. Somehow it's just completely non-functional here though. And why do I need to equip a build gun only to still need to press B anyways in order to construct something? Clunkkkkkky

And no, I don't want to join your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ discord just to report a bug. You can easily include a bug reporter right in UE5, why not do THAT? ♥♥♥♥ needing to join every dev's stupid ass discord server just to report a bug... And EMAIL!? Who emails people for bug reports in 2025?

I love Green Hell btw... but this is clearly far out of the capabilities of that team.

Early Access Review
This game far exceeds the quality of Drug Dealer Simulator. I had almost 200 hours in that game, but it was nowhere near as polished as this.

Also, ♥♥♥♥ them for suing.

Adding DRM retroactively to any release shouldn't be allowed on this platform. I'm so sick of companies doing this kind of shady garbage.

No more support for Capcom unless they revert any of these kinds of changes.

This is easily one of the cringiest games I've ever played. How do so many people consider this game "good"? Every five seconds it screams "are we relatable enough yet guys? did we tick off all the boxes of relatability for the kids??"

Not to mention there is zero logic to the idea that you would need "followers" to boost numbers for hacking or whatever? If you're a HACKER you can just make zombies out of unsuspecting people's computers and use that to boost your hacking power. Clearly nobody at Ubisoft actually knows anything about hacking in real life.

I'm really confused as to why this game was so hated by so many people. I remember people talking so much ♥♥♥♥ about this game and I can't really remember what the issues were; but my god is this ever one of the best first person campaigns out there. The only thing I kind of vaguely remember, was them putting in attachments to guns in multiplayer which absolutely did not exist during WW2. But I had no interest in playing multiplayer, so I just played the campaign on Veteran and it made it really feel like war. You peak your head out for a second in the wrong spot, you're toast immediately. D-Day at the very start felt like I was playing as a character in Saving Private Ryan, it was nuts.

I also think I got this from Humble Bundle though because I definitely didn't actually buy it. I'd never give Activi$ion $80 CAD for any game. If you just want a really killer WW2 campaign to play through though, this is about as close as it gets to a video game adaptation of Saving Private Ryan spliced together with Band of Brothers.

HUGE DISCLAIMER* You will need to rebeat the ENTIRE game again if you want to play this DLC, because for whatever reason, all saves got deleted for the 1.0 release. So if you want to play just this DLC, you're outta luck.**

This should've been a free update, this DLC is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HORRIBLE. In 27 hours playing the base game, I never once used the car because it's such a janky piece of ♥♥♥♥ to maneuver throughout the game. You move faster while running too, so why would ANYBODY bother using the car?

Well lucky you, you're FORCED to drive through seven different races right at the start of this DLC in some of the most horribly designed courses I've ever seen in any racing game, and I've played hundreds. They didn't bother even adding waypoints to the hud at the top of the screen either, for the missions or the races, so if you miss a marker, you won't ever know. The markers all exist at all times, so there is nothing indicating if you missed one. The final race is so poorly designed that it's extremely easy to go the complete wrong way by the graveyard and miss a marker there, forcing you to redo the whole 4 minute long nightmare again.

Then to add to the irritation, the "song" while racing is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 16 second loop I would've made in FL Studio back in 2006. It also doesn't even seemlessly loop so you notice the loop every single time it happens. This is seriously some of the lowest effort ♥♥♥♥ I've seen in terms of "DLC". I bought it to support the devs, since I like supporting indie devs, but good god this is just awful. Also some of the UI elements start displaying in Polish ONLY in this DLC for whatever reason. Figure that out...

I genuinely wouldn't even pay $1 for this, let alone the $4 CAD it cost me.

**EDIT**

Well considering it says there's CLOUD SAVES, it has nothing to do with MY directory, but the fact that you guys clearly have no proper cloud save management. So either way, it's on you guys, not on me. I back up my saves for games that don't have Steam Cloud listed on the store page. Maybe you should remove that huh?

And if the races aren't part of the DLC, how the ♥♥♥♥ do you get to play the DLC? I beat the game and now I'm stuck doing races which weren't part of the game the first time I beat it, unless they were and just not properly indicated anywhere.

Either way, this game is far worse than it was the first time I played through it.

Played the previous version of this, can't even remember what it was called, but it's a solid game. It's essentially Tug O War from Starcraft but with a deckbuilding twist. It's a shame it doesn't get played much because the game works and plays great. I could see some pretty intense strategy going into this.

I think the issue really is that it's competing with such an incredibly solid game, Minion Masters. And that game sort of boils the same format into a more bite-sized way with much shorter games.

As someone who grew up playing every Starcraft custom game back in the day though, this one really captures the feel of that.

You guys should be proud of making such a well-designed game.

I never would've guessed this series had no tie in with the actual toys, or with Toy Story. Somehow as a kid I always assumed Toy Story acquired the rights to the Army Men toys and then this franchise used the same type of licensing deal for their own franchise of games.

Nope.

Somehow this has absolutely nothing to do with the actual toys and was allowed to exist regardless. It was actually designed based on the plastic toys to avoid German censorship at the time, oddly enough. Considering Command & Conquer needed to have all the people turned into robots, they wanted to come up with something out the gate that didn't require multiple versions of the game. Weird considering it's an American company that was started by the guy who owned EA. I guess German markets were still large enough in gaming that this was a concern out the gate.
