A breathtakingly beautiful game, with gorgeous visuals, deep and moving stories, exceptional voice acting, and a soundtrack that can move the listener to tears. Highly recommended for those players who are there to immerse themselves into a world and story!

Ever wanted to play a detective without an AI holding your hand too much? This story-rich and atmospheric game keeps the player on the edge as they delve in the mysteries of the abandoned village and solve the murders that happened there. The player will be in charge of how much they find out about the previous residents and their secrets with multiple endings depending on their actions.

This is what a good old-fashioned adventure game should be like!

The story and writing is superb and the voice acting marvelous. Puzzles are not too difficult to solve, but just challenging enough to be interesting. Big kudos for the characters and Twin Peaks/Silent Hill vibes and references.

This game is wonderful, and I'll tell you why:

1. The music is soothing and amazing
2. The NPCs are well-designed and interesting, and building relationships with them while furthering their stories is enjoyable
3. There are so many things to do with different challenge levels, and the player can complete them at their own leisure: farming, fishing, mining, combat, NPC interaction (even building a family) and exploring. All of these bring their elements of intrique and fun to this game.

Stardew Valley gives the player a sense of purpose, and that is priceless.

Very cute, very fun and relaxing. 5/5 stars.

The positives: Interesting characters and a somewhat intriquing story around family members in a desperate situation within a GoT world.

The negatives: The choices the player makes do not matter at all, as the end results are always the same. There are also some unexplained and frustrating "holes" in the plot, which underline the disregard to player choice even more.

There are some really good games around there, but unfortunately I don't believe this is one of them.

Such a wonderful and moving piece of art with unique forms of storytelling! Nowadays it is rare that a game manages to enthrall me so deeply, but this game did that and so much more.

"What Remains of Edith Finch" can be loosely compared to the experiences offered by "The Vanishing of Ethan Carter" and "Gone Home" - both excellent games in their own merit.

The only downside I could think of is that it'll probably take a while for me to find another game that sweeps me away like this again. My humble recommendations.

Recommended if you like endearing puzzles and love the feelings of thinking in frustration combined with the eventual thrill of finally figuring out the bloody solution.

While I was happy to find a visual novel directed for female audience and was initially excited about the possiblity of "choosing my own adventure" and the thrill of romance, I could't have been more disappointed in the actual game. The storyline and dialogue were weak, characters irritating at best and the character images recycled in a non-imaginative and cheap way. I am happy to support this genre in the future, but would not buy this particular game again, even from a sale.

I've always wanted to become a detective, and L.A Noire is story-driven enough to give me the opportunity to realize my childhood dream in a virtual environment. Even though the side jobs are mainly boring chases and shooting scenes, the main quests are interesting as you collect evidence and interview witnesses while trying to see through their lies, eventually solving a mystery that is put before you. -And film noire-theme is never passé.
