Just wanted to thank the developers for one of the most generous and masterful sequels in video gaming history.

They straight up do not make games like this anymore. There will be people who chafe on some of the mechanics, but the quality and originality can't be denied. Been a big fan since Zeno Clash, and seeing the love that has been poured into every pixel of Zenozoik is an absolute treasure for me.

Speaking of treasure, I'm not sure what is going on in the sound track enjoying section of the world, but they need to wake up on this games ost. Something special happened here, and it should be recognised.

This game is the definition of a hidden gem, which strikes me as rather tragic. Maybe my review will disrupt someone's yearly purchase of COD and instead they try something new.

Worst offender for open world tropes I've ever witnessed, and my personal contender for most over-rated game of all time.

Focus is payed on the players first impression to mask the chore that is the other 99% of the game. If there are aspects of combat or a particular mini game that you somewhat enjoy, don't worry. The game will long beat that out of you with repetition. Same tasks over and over. Same fights over and over. Same same same over and over and over.

People seem to regard the "Story" as noteworthy. Maybe I came with that expectation, but verbal diarrhea is not a story. "I have to find Ciri". There, you've reached the depths of our protagonists struggle. Everything else is "Who did what where and when". To fans of this story, I say go back and examine the plot. You might find you've been conned with hot air instead.

Not writing this to tell you I hated it (which I did). Instead I'm going to do for you what nobody did for me:
Avoid this game like the plague. Even on sale, it's not worth the cost.

Fix the mission "Our Daily Bread".

If you have to rely on 3rd party patches to play the game with audio (or in some cases play AT ALL), then it has no business being sold. Seems like such an obvious remaster, but I'm not going to give Rockstar any credit to assume they should know that.

Anyway, buy if you like laughably under-qualified ports and no working audio without seeking and executing arbitrary code from people not aligned with the company.

Better yet, find other ways to enjoy this classic without giving one more cent to these crooked pricks.
