Incredibly fun with a group of friends.
If you loved FFXIV style raiding mechanics this game is basically that with rougelike loot features and it works so incredibly well.
Its hard, but in a really good way, sometimes it can get a bit cluttered (like when you teleport several times and you have no clue where you are anymore) but I still would recommend it, 10/10

A really fun game and they did actually listen to the feedback and retracted the PSN account requirement.
I still have some crashing issues and playing on planets with fire effects tank my PC, but even after all that I still enjoy playing the game.

Game of my dreams. I loved both Risk of Rain 1 and 2, and this game improves on the things from Risk of Rain 1, sprinkles some of the good stuff from 2 and creates a great mix. Shame that 3d printer and recycler is not in, but I suppose it could get a bit too strong sometimes.

The game is good, I bought it way back before steam for a decent price (but unfortunately with bitcoin so that was a huge yikes) and have had my share of fun from it.
But sadly the devs are manipulative people who are trying to boost the sales of their game by not putting discounts, but instead by increasing the price of the game. Last time they did a price increase was with fair reasoning as the game was coming out of early access and it did boost their sales quite a lot just before the price hike.
This times reasoning is supposedly due to inflation, while the game is constantly getting patches for bugfixes and optimization, they are working on a DLC for the past couple years that is gonna have an additional $30 price tag.

Factorio is one of the most expensive factory like game on steam, and how much further will they push the price in the future? Cause I doubt they would lower the price if the rate of inflation lowered or even during a deflation.

If you were a frugal player hoping for a sale and were always on the fence on this game, this would maybe be the rare chance I'd recommend a third party seller of the game.
From a quote on their blogs "we don't want to reward the people who hold off on buying the game, the game is a price we find reasonable, and this is the deal." Punishing frugality just because you think not putting the game on sale is respecting the players who bought the full price, and then increasing said price, is just plain ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Very fun.
Even though it would def be a super great game with friends, I am unfortunately mostly playing this solo. Though that haven't been much of a problem for me since I have had many fun encounters with randoms, and even if you lose because of bad teammates, doesn't matter much.
Currently some concerns with the cosmetic shop and battlepass system, though I am still having fun without all those fancy armors. One can just hope it gets better somehow.

Incredibly fun and probably the only game I would recommend getting for VR. Modding community is real lovely too.

EDITED 5/5/2017:
So yeah, played it again now after several updates, thankful that dev decided to add in a save function in the end. I won't go much in depth with this review, but from the hour or so of gameplay, I really enjoy the game's style and music. There is some confusion about a lot of things in the game, like how good is a stat really at certain levels? Is it wise to focus on a few stats or always go with an all-around build with high meditation? Does sacrificing to the gods really do anything useful? and etc etc. Other than that, I really enjoy the game, thanks to the save feature I can now drop in and out as I see fit and actually enjoy the short bursts I play in.
Music is also really good.

OLD REVIEW:
The game is pretty fun and all, but after I had to take a small break and closed down the game, I noticed theres no save feature. Checking through the steam forums it seems that the developers left that out because the game can be beaten in 2 hours max, or in a half hour if you are good I guess.

So unfortunately I cannot recommend the game cause no save feature is a real turn off for me who plays games for maybe half a hour then switch around. Overall the game is okay.

Early Access Review
Hellion right now is filled with a lot of bugs and not completely finished features, of course, so don't expect a smooth ride as you try to play this game. If you prefer a feature finished, bug free game, then wait.

Hellion is a harsh game, a very very harsh game. Taking a ship from point A to point B requires more care than you might think, and that apparently upsets a lot of people as I saw from many reviews and forum posts. This game is obviously not made for everyone, and it doesn't help that theres no "proper" tutorial for the game yet. I was lucky to be in the Discord for Hellion and managed to get some answers to my questions as I was playing.

But heres a small list of things that I encountered playing this game for a night. If you are not into one of the things below, then you might want to reconsider buying the game:
- Fiddling around with small parts trying to see which one glows the brightest
- Listening to the sound of air pressurizing over and over again.
- Fumble around station modules as you try to dock them with other modules, and accidentally hitting your ship, sending it flying to god knows where.
- Manage to activate the main engine on the ship, and accidentally going from 1m/s to 1000m/s in a flash.
- Play around with physics (through a helmet and a set of stairs) while waiting for a 10 minute warp to another moon to finish.

Of course the list above is not a full set of things you might experience when playing in Hellion, everything changes depending on if you have a friend or two. The game works perfectly fine solo, its just a lot of things to keep in mind. Is my ship close enough to me so I can get back safely before my air runs out? How long will it take me to fill up my supply of oxygen by doing these mining trips one by one?

Anyways, I love this game, even with a friend or solo, I managed to have a fun time. The bugs right now can be gamebreaking, but I had fun talking with the devs and they really listened in to our problems, so I have big hopes for this games future.

10/10, would space again.
