Although the developers said they are taking inspiration from Pokemon (and probably other sources) it, to me, feels closer to Digimon. A strange lovechild between the two with a twist on their features. As of writing I have completed most of the side quests on the starter island moving onto the next. I am still indecisive on my final squad composition though know it will be player-versus-player ready. The combat system is fairly difficult until you committed to memory the type chart. When you do will be surprise how much stamina is left to play with. Strategy is key in this game. It is easy for a high-level Temtem to be trounce by another five to ten levels under with a well-placed synergy move. If you are thinking about giving the game a try, remember this: there are no "good" Temtem. Each are competitive in their own way you just need to do a bit of research to find how. Of course I have grievances with aspects of the game, but the developers seem adamant about perfecting their product evident by their transparency. I have faith that some if not most will be remedied in the days to come with constructive criticism and feedback.
