You are missing the whole point , it is a psychological anime where minor thing are important , the best thing about this anime is how ayanokoji doesn’t reacts , and you will come to know his backstory , this isn’t a harem at all , it is probably one of few anime’s which gives realistic approach. And if you think ayanokoji is a boring guy which attracts all the girls then you haven’t watched anime properly . Ayanokoji is stronger than every other in the schoool , smarter , fighting and survival skills is far more superior to even a professional , it’s just he just don’t want to stand out because he has beeen on the top ( white room ) for his entire life so he wants to enjoy his life like a normal student and does not want to stand out .

And about pulling girls so he is a calm cool guy which doesn’t panic in any situation and has good physique and muscles , and is good looking , athletic etc ( he has many other like strongest , wisest and many others ) , it’s just that he doesn’t want to stand out . And the character designs are not plain I think , most of the characters have backstory , many of them is yet to be revealed , it’s just you are not seeing it as psychological anime and see it as normal anime , if you truly want to enjoy it I recommend rewatch it ( knowing that ayanokoji can solo his verse ) and see his every glare , his action , see him trying to not stand out , hold back his strength . Again just advising you to rewatch it and notice every action then you will also fall in love with it . Pls don’t give it naruto or misfit of demon king academy like approach then you will never understand it.
