Not only a fun game, but a genuinely powerful learning school if you choose to stay dedicated. I can't recommend you use Rocksmith as your first teaching tool, but after you've picked up the basics it becomes an amazing solo book that can dynamically adjust difficulty and provide feedback in real time. Consistent additions and leaderboards do their job to keep the game fresh and keep me excited about booting up the game regularly, not to mention the large library of tracks that the user base has taken the time to transpose and upload. That's not to say it is without its faults, latency is a genuine issue in the beginning for any intermediate musician although you'll learn to adjust with time, and the $40 price tag on the Real-Tone Cable can make this game a hard sell for anybody on the fence. Overall if you're going to spend $20 on a new solo book I'd consider spending a bit extra for Rocksmith instead.
