Update: Game no longer scares me as much. 10/10 would speedrun on Tanglewood house again just to call the ghost a p*ssy and get rekt by a Yokai

For a game that has long been in development, the developers have come a long way with The Forest. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good survival game with a great story.

If you like Age of Empires, you'll definitely love this game. The gameplay mechanics are definitely more in-depth and diverse and the combat mechanics are pretty awesome too. While I couldn't say this is necessarily better than AoE, I wouldn't say it's worse either. I definitely enjoy both equally and will continue to play both.

I sprinted across one of the games massive maps for 25 minutes, all while dodging bullets, avoiding getting spotted by APC style vehicles, and even killed a man, all just to get pooped on by some sniper hiding in the sand dunes. 10/10.

Rob a bank, shoot some cops, it doesn't get much better than that.

Literally some of the most fun you can have for as cheap as this game is, AND if you can get it on a good sale, it's just that much better.

It is rather unfortunate that this game came to a grinding halt on releasing new content, however there is still some fun to be had, and if you can get this game on a decent sale, I feel it is definitely worth giving it a try!

Definitely a game that provides lots of fun for hours. Unfortunately, you eventually run into a grind once you are finished with DLC campaigns, but it is still a fantastic storyline in my opinion! (Been playing since battle.net prior to the transition)
