Fix the crashing please... I think the game is fun but I spent more time trying to fix crashing than actually playing the game.

Fun game, especially with friends. I don't think it's worth $26 (Canadian) but if it's on sale and you got mates to play with, I definitely think it's worth the price.

MAJOR ORDER COMPLETE

The Sony Automaton threat has been stopped for now. Though, those freedom hating Automatons may one day return, we must always be ready to die for democracy.

Another victory for the right side of history.

This is a perfect game if you want to immerse yourself in Tolkien's world of Middle-Earth. If you're a fan of Lord of the Rings and can look past some issues this game has, it's nothing but a wonderful time and I recommend this game 100%.

If you're not a Lord of the Rings fan, this game is quite dated, having poor graphics, dated combat and laggy servers. The lag can affect the ability to play certain classes like the Warden. The PvP is also lacking as far as mmorpg's go.

If you end up enjoying this game, you'll find there's a wealth of content to enjoy alone and immerse yourself in the world of Middle-Earth. The main attraction for me is the singleplayer and group pve content, if you're a pvp player, this is not the game for you. It's wonderful to create your own mental backstory for your character while they adventure through and help the free peoples. I personally run as a High-Elf Lore Master (Class that's similar to Gandalf in nature) and see it as the time of the Elves is fading and this their adventures is the last of their duties before they fade and depart to Valinor.

It truly is a journey levelling up your character and going through the games content, it can take hundreds of hours. You'll likely never run out of things to do, which can be daunting to some but it's a game you should really take your time with. The one downside, at least for me was finding a class to main and sink my time into as there is a huge time investment to level up a character to level cap, so restarting and trying to complete everything isn't very easy in comparison to other mmorpgs.

LOTRO is also free to play and has a modestly fair free to play system. You can earn premium currency in game and use it to buy premium store things. Subscribing isn't necessary and you can earn everything for free, although it must be said, very slowly and with grind. If you plan to play this game for hundreds of hours, I do think subscribing is worth it, but there's no harm in trying the game out for yourself for free before making any monetary commitments.

I've got about 35 hours on this game now. It is a fun game and will let you feel like the hero you're playing as. This game is also not getting enough credit for their free dlc policy and all paid content can be earned for free. All you really need is to pay for the game itself and everything else is free.

That being said, I really dislike how much this game forces you to play other heroes. I understood the grind when I was playing through the campaign, it's a narrative focused story, can't be whoever you want during it at times. BUT once I was through the main story, the fact there were iconic missions to unlock to progress the reigning supreme storyline, which means you HAVE to play other heroes annoyed me. Please let late game content be allowed without having to play every hero in the game. I literally hate playing captain america and I have to play him for like 5 hours to progress the initiative storyline.

Bought the game yesterday, if you're a fan of Mount & Blade or Chivalry, this is the game for you. I think this game is missing some game modes. Hopefully they'll be added in the future.
I would like to see an arena like mode, where players could take turns dueling. Another mode I'd love would be a 1 life team battle. Instead of respawning, have multiple rounds in a match of teams of lets say 8v8, 16v16 or 32v32 fighting. Best of 3, one life each round. Would be lit!
