Space Channel 5: Part 2 looks, sounds, and feels amazing to play. The lower poly and texture-less models age incredibly nicely, but of course remaining textures and pre-rendered CGI is lower res, but it's retrospectively charming to some.

While the gameplay is lenient with timing, not having a hard, defined PERFECT-BAD scoring system, your timing does still influence how "on-beat" Ulala's animation and chant's are. With this and the more "freestyle" sections of the game that allow you to press any direction for different stylish animations, the game does an amazing job of encouraging players to challenge and express themselves within the generous freedoms given in the game mechanics. Makes every play through feel genuinely fun and experimental.

With modern computer specs and a nice, low latency monitor, this game looks and feels great to play! Do note, 60fps is possible, but as I understand it, the game Vsyncs down to half the monitor refresh, so you'll need a 120hz monitor to play effectively 60fps.

I highly recommend this game and this port, as well. I recently got to enjoy sharing this game to some of my curious friends during a get together and some of them picked the game up themselves!
