My Review/Opinion of Ghost Recon Wildlands

*Keep in mind I've enjoyed this game so far and may have a bias review*

This review is my personal opinion but I find the game very enjoyable, I would recommend this game to friends. At the end of the day it does come down to personal preference. The reason I believe for such low reviews is due to the fact people are trying to be funny and not giving proper pros and cons of the game or giving the beta a long enough chance. I would like to state that this is the first game in the Ghost Recon franchise that I've played and that may affect my experience.

Firstly I would like to address the amount of complaints of the game's performance and ability to run. I have had no troubles running the game with my graphics card and get a stable 50~ fps on my GTX 960, keep in mind I have not fiddled around with the in game settings so I'm sure I could definitely run it better if I messed with the settings a bit more. The graphics don't look bad when I run it, but I am not huge on graphics when it comes to games so you should really see for yourself.

Secondly the gameplay, vehicles is a bit of turn off for me. I found the vehicles hard to control, cars felt like I was driving on thin ice, I had no idea how to fly helicopters, planes were a nightmare and dirt bikes did funny things. However once you mess around with the controls a bit more you begin to get use to the controls. Another thing to note is my friend and I had very different experiences with the vehicles he had lots of experience with ARMA and the vehicles in ARMA so it came naturally to him. Movement in this game is choppy at times and I did struggle with stairs every so often. Gameplay wise I had done the first section of the map by myself first and with a friend the second time. I have to say playing with friends is a whole new experience than playing with AI. With AI missions did feel kind of repetitive but with a friend things were more interesting as we would mess around a bit more and end up in sticky situations as we had not bots to land those tricky sync shots on hard to reach targets. I also believe the game is more fun to play tactically with a group of friends than guns blazing with a group of bots as the game is built and more focused around stealth. The game also takes sometime to learn and get into so you are comfortable with the control scheme.

Finally, lots of reviews said that this game is not what they had expected and it is untrue to the Ghost Recon recipe, nature, style or what ever you want to call it. I can not make any statements on this, however I can say it is what I expected the game to be from all the advertising. The sneaking in to the drug cartel, using various strategies and tactical methods to take down targets. From what I was sold by the marketing team it did deliver and meet my expectations for what the game is but may not be what you were to believe.

I would like to wrap this review up by saying don't let reviews turn you off this game, most of them are trying to be funny giving it a negative rating and adding a pun to the review or a positive review possibly written by an employee at Ubisoft but very few are serious listing pros and cons to the game. This review is my opinion of the game and may differ from others. You have nothing to lose from downloading the open beta and trying it out yourself and don't let the opinion of others turn you off from trying the game.

-What people expect the game to be may differ from person to person
-Would not reccommend pre-ordering or cancel pre-ordering without trying the game.
-Don't trust reviews judge the game yourself to see if it is worth getting
MOST IMPORTANTLY DOWNLOAD THE BETA IT IS FREE YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE AND BE PATIENT WITH THE GAME.
