This game is EXCEPTIONALLY promising. If they keep on the same course and simply expand what's already there, this game is going to be a total and utter winner. It has great flavor and, IMO, a better feel than Arizona Sunshine, which is unnecessarily futzy. This one feels good to just jump into and play, although I might feel differently on higher difficulty levels, I suppose. Regardless, try the demo and you'll likely decide it's worth $10.

It's just so boring. It's somehow difficult and frustrating and boring all at once.

Free beta weekend, ugh, hard pass. There's about two mechanics, and if you are lucky enough to get caught in a server with three virgins who have already mastered these mechanics, it's not any fun. The controls are atrocious, you're trying to do one thing (use the "magnet" ability) and it's also the teleport button. Stupid. Dynamic controls like that are garbage. This game tries to do too much with the controls in a game that doesn't warrant it. It's super simple, and a SNES Madden "dodge" button is so, so lame. Like, 1996 lame. Boring, no replay value, bad controls, hard succ. I can't see how they're going to right this laggy pile of feces (people can shoot the ball right through you. timing? ha!) in two weeks when it comes out. Only thing I know for sure, is that I'm keeping my money. Failed attempt at a Rocket League knockoff. Wanted badly to like, do not.

Steep learning curve, but so satisfying to learn new things. I'm old af (41), so I don't learn as quick as the kids, but there's custom training packs created by others who have the same mechanics problems as me, and it's possible to learn and get better through practice. Natural ability and youth seems to be the way to go, but there's still a chance for us adults lol. As a casual the game can be frustrating meaning you'll miss the ball a LOT at first, but keep at it and you'll start making easy hits on the ground. Then on the wall. Then in the air. Then off the ceiling. 3k+ hours and still so many things to figure out...

Only issue I have is sometimes the servers are terrible. They'll lag random people, there will be stutters in game play, and of course, WHERE'S MY DANG CROSS-PLATFORM PARTY SYSTEM SONY????? I know it's not Psyonix's fault, but they should've let Sony go the way of the Betamax. Once the cross platform party thing happens, I'll forgive the sometimes crappy servers.

Very pretty game, intense hunting sequences broken up by a beautiful walking simulator. Unfortunately, it's totally broken. Purchased weapons don't show up in inventory, and I shuffled inventory on my hotbar and the game ate my roe deer caller for my troubles. The store indicates that it's "owned", but it's nowhere to be found in my inventory and can't be equipped. Same with the .223 rifle and jackrabbit caller I've purchased. Plus, the sound is buggy as hell. This one needs significant work before I can recommend it, but I really really hope they get it together because 90% of an awesome game is already there.

Update:

They've gotten it together, it appears. While animals do get stuck on trees and run in circles, the AI is such that animals don't walk up to you and stand there anymore. Also, going from a GTX 960 to a 1070 "fixed" the horribly slow gameplay I was experiencing. Do yourself a favor and buy the ATV DLC. It'll save you from those boring 20 minute walks when you're just trying to get somewhere. Overall, it's annoying and frustrating in a beautiful environment, which I'd say is pretty similar to a lot of actual hunting.

Remember Subspace? It's a king of the hill version of that game. Matches are 5v5 or 10v10 (plus some other stuff I haven't even tried yet), and they're more or less timed. It's entertaining, and doesn't have to eat up your whole day, although it might. XD

I laughed so hard at so many points in this game. It's not too difficult, about 12 hours for a play through.
