I have grown tired of episodic games, and this new Life is Strange entry was just fit for me.
It has, as usual, a great soundtrack, fantastic game direction, an expansion of the DnD mini campaign that was explored in Before the Storm as a treat as a part of the story. This game mechanic was fleshed out perfectly, while keeping it simple and funny.
The main cast of characters are endearing and hilarious, to hate-ble and griping. I am thankful that you can truly explore the town while you have different objectives because I loved following some of the NPCs around.
I couldn't stop playing and I'm happy with the ending I got :) I couldn't beat the mining mini game tho.

I purchased this VN thinking I knew what to expect of the story after reading the first half. During the first couple of chapters, everything was going great; I was able to understand the metaphors and discover the secrets hidden within the mystery. Then Requiem of the Golden Witch reached its climax and I was sent into a spiral. I had read spoilers online, but reading the story alongside the images and the voice acting hit a different spot.
Seeing Erika with a captain's hat was the peak of this story's fantasy elements for sure. Anyways, I solved the mystery and reached the Single Truth before the main characters did. This level of reasoning was possible for me, everything else was a blast.

Killed a squirrel and got a rabbit foot as loot.
It completely broke my immersion.

The story of this game is fantastic. I got hooked on in 2013 when I found the animated series, then chose to read the VS. Now, 7 years later, I'm back at it again to relive the amazing experience.
