I like the concept, but the endgame achievements are broken for years and the devs cant be bothered to fix them :/

I can't believe we had to wait till 2019 for this to be on steam.

If you get "ACCESS VIOLATION" error message, just change the "musicEnabled" parameter from 1 to 0 in "GOTHIC.INI". The music won't play but the game will run. It's a small price to pay for salvation.

TLDR: Could be good, it is not :(

Meta is stale (nearly 6 years of exactly the same stuff over and over again). Filled with cheaters and hackers (top ranks are basically unplayable for months). It is obvious the devs only care about $$$$$. The core concept of the game is nice but it is completely ruined by greedy decisions of the dev team. The balance is nonexistent, changes are introduced because devs "felt like it" or "they wanted to appeal to the group that creates the most revenue".
You can probably have some good time in a custom lobby with a group of 5 friends but otherwise it's a $ithshow that carries on only because there is no competitor. The situation is so absurd the devs themselves got banned from Steam forums and to this day they still instruct moderators to lock threads that discuss problems within the game. Pretty "good" job so far.

Playing this game fills me with determination...

I know what you're thinking, but the funny thing is, I don't even like videogames...

Challenging adventure with comlplex puzzles, nice graphics, working achievements, anime pictures and curses (hell of a lot of them). What else could you possibly desire?
