I love a game you can make a choice with. Not running through dialogue options, choosing each path - but saying “I want to see this, and no more”. The character work and writing in this is immediately atmospheric, and lets you build a relationship with the situation(s) at hand. I really enjoyed it!

I too move around the urban decay of a long-abandoned (by the gods) British city using tank controls...

This is - as you've hopefully already heard - an absolutely stellar game by any metric. Just want to say here: if you check the Noclip series of documentaries on YouTube you can see how great the team is too. The sense of skill, with earnest and healthy ambition in making a great game is so clear. I hope they become the model for how people make games - gods know things need to change in the industry at large.
