I don't know where to begin..

This game is painful to play, not because this game is all bad, because some things this game make absolutely beautiful to experience and give your mind an amaze. You'll love it and enjoy to an extend.

But when you delve into the depths of story and unique characteristics, this game gives whole another story to you.

Step by step:
1. Visuals: Just amazing. As a Unity game developer, almost all the visuals are really something to look at. Excellent drawings, great lightings and post-processing. There are nothing much to say about this except all positive words.
2. Music: Well done. Although sometimes you'll wonder "This music is not going well with the theme", it is rarely the case. You might just listen to the OST and call it a day.
3. Story: Interesting to be a part of. Intriguing parts are there, dull parts are obviously there.

So here are the problems and I will not recommend to buy this game because:
1. Writing: Boring. Unnecessary long. Sometimes borderline irrelevant. To reach one ending, you might spend over 15+ hours and mind you, there are lots of endings, mostly bad ones.
Who cares about Higgs Boson, Chauvinism, Roman Empire, painfully long, overwhelming and unnecessary philosophical inner-monologues? Just let me enjoy the game without making it this long!

2. Decisions: Keep in mind that this game is my first VN and what really disappoints me that, in order to achieve any good ending, either you have to be an ORACLE or you have to had too many VN experience. No room for error. Just one single seemingly irrelevant choice may prevent you reach a Good Ending altogether.

For example: In Himitsu's route, there are total of 9 points to collect. In order to reach the good ending, you'll need at least 8 points. In a decision, I've chosen to stay at home, instead of walking outside, which cost me -2 points and even though I did everything right, I missed the good ending. Neither of these choices were important, but game didn't think so.

You might turn-on the hints or follow a walk-through online but this defeats the purpose, am I right?

3. Predefined routes: This game presents you 4 different potential relationships, but not really. After playing a while, you are directed to one of two routes. You might want to develop a relationship with one girl, but unforgiving and vague choices can and will prevent you to do this. IF reaching to one ending could be short, this would not be a problem but after investing too many hours and seeing that your route is already gone downhill, you might rage quit and delete this game like me.

4. The protagonist, Nikolai: I wished this dude be a little bearable but no. Never. Insufferable little ♥♥♥♥ just wrecks everything in front of him, fixated on his past and never moves on, makes everyone's life the living hell.

So. I strongly do not recommend this game whatsoever. If you want to be depressed and be angry with the game while enjoying visuals and good soundtrack, I won't stop you. But you've been warned. I've been told that there are so many better games than this. Not a good introduction for me anyways.
