super freakin' good

meat boy is the golden standard for challenging platformers. though it's not edmund's best work in level design (TEIN >>>>>>>>), most of these levels remain some of the most fun obstacle courses you could have the luxury of blasting through, highlights for me being The Forest (ofc), The End and a good chunk of Cotton Alley... Rapture freakin' sucks tho!

the only thing that mechanically holds this game back is how sticking to the wall can screw you over in 1 block wide holes, and the seemingly random nature of whether or not slowing down on ground is an instant momentum cancellation or a slip'n'slide adventure.

this game is peak because it has embrion

i do not get why this game has an overwhelmingly positive rating on steam, it is such a nothing-game with nonsensical and boring level design and the dumb "ooooh we're becoming weird and scary now 😨😨" thing goes absolutely nowhere and is there just because ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

is it because of the n64-style graphics? is that the reason people like this game? that is the only thing about this game that i find somewhat appealing.

yomi hustle is a pretty good game? i think so

although it's the quite short experience, it's very much a quality over quantity type of deal. if slinging around your surroundings with spider webs at mach speed sounds like something you'd enjoy, i'd HIGHLY recommend picking this one up.
