Minor spoilers for the game ahead



This game is quite simple, but that does not mean it is a bad game... The AI that you face against seems to be fairly simple and starts off with the same move nigh every single game. While in a normal game of chess I would complain about this, in this game I actually do not mind it as once you get a strategy against their moves, it helps you move on quickly to the good parts of the game ;)

There are multiple spells to be used in the earlier rounds of the game, which can both benefit and harm the player in the long run (e.g - Landmines) and its nice to have these spells at first, but then comes the later rounds where the game takes them away from you and gives them to your opponent which is a fine idea, only if the enemy AI was smart enough not to walk on its own landmine.

As of right now, the game still seems a bit clunky, but the potential is definitely there. With a few QoL updates and maybe an improved AI, this game will be even better.

Pretty unoptimized currently, albeit not as bad as some games upon release, but still to the point where it is unplayable at times. hopefully these issues are resolved soon, but in its current state, I am unable to give it a thumbs up.

Issues found:

Enemies in the open world are invisible until ~1 Meter away

minor fps drops (to be expected) ranging to game freezing for multiple seconds, and some stuttering after recovering

Multiple lighting issues found within about 45 minutes of in game time (flickering, floating orbs, etc.)

I really enjoy this game and I think that if a newcomer wants to get into the borderlands series, then I think that they should buy the games when they are on sale and are super cheap
