Very slow opening before you are let into the main game loop which is basically just collecting a few resources over and over with story reveals in between.
Really tests your patience.

It looks pretty and runs good.

Played for about 3-4 hours before I had enough, left the game open overnight which is why it says way more hours played.

Needs more maps, I'll pay :D

I wish Steam had a thumbs horizontal rating because this game totally deserves that.

Its fundamentals are solid and there's really nothing wrong with it but its effectively a demo sized game for $10.

Its an experience that took me about 50 mins to complete, and I probably could have completed it faster if I was trying.

Now games shouldn't be judged on length but in a market that has games in this genre for this price ($10) being many times over in value I can't give this a thumbs up.

I'm not a fan of this new trend of tiny games having full indie game price tag.

This would be a thumbs up if it didn't already have 90%+ rating lol.

I wouldn't be complaining if it was $5 or less.

Very entertaining game.

I think the melee weapons are moot as the ranged weapons require you to be pretty close and the guns are simply better.

There is little under an hour of content atm so you might probably get the gist by playing the demo which is the 3rd level of the early access.

Its a pretty inexpensive game so I didn't feel like I was getting ripped off.

More of a movie than a game really, Michael Bay style, lots of falling and things exploding.
Boring slow combat.
Predictable story.
Pointless RPG upgrade and equipment system.
Just a pretty game for normies.

A Fun little semi open world game that I would describe as a simpler Subnautica with a gun and no base building.
Took me about 12h to 100% the game.
Its not reinventing the wheel but I found it quite enjoyable apart from the occasional "capitalism bad" humor.
The world feels a little disjointed as the there are major zones that you have to teleport via a loading screen to and from.
Heavily inspired by Rick and Morty by the looks of it but not in a way that gets in the way of the gameplay.

An easy recommendation from me.

I was going to give this a thumb up all the way until I got to chapter 3.
It simply fall apart there. I'm pretty sure I'm softlocked from progressing.

The game world is beautiful but it seems like the programming is not on the same part. Enemies are dumb as bricks mostly.

I almost want to still give it thumbs up because I did think the first two chapters were greater than then sum of their parts but I just can't.

Not your typical run of the mill boomer shooter.
Very atmospherics, has a cool story and unique dialogue.

I has some unique ideas that maybe get tired after a while, like having to break the shield on every enemy then switch to a different gun.

That being said the pros outweigh the cons for this one.

The game looks beautiful but it seems like most of the work went into making these grand levels with weapon/gameplay/enemy design taking a back seat.
The enemies are for the most part annoying and do area damage when they die so you better hang back.
Its pretty much the same enemies from the first level throughout the entire game with singular additions here and there.
The weapons are pretty boring and it feels like you're always being careful with your ammo so there's not much flow or groove to the combat. The shotgun is pretty good but you'll be wanting for ammo.
I feels like Quake with not many interesting additions besides the levels. It takes all the weaknesses from Quake and brings it over to this game.

I love this genre so I play pretty much all the games that come out and this one feels like a chore to play.

If you still think Quake 1 is a good game in 2024 this is going to be your jam.

I think this might just be the best boomer shooter to have come out!
