I decided to give it a fair chance. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ around in the lobby for a few minutes, then it crashed my computer

Stellar game, 10/10

(I mean the game's probably fine but I'm not gonna stick around and risk my computer crashing again. Plus it's a rot on the Metal Gear name so ♥♥♥♥ it)

Good game, had a lot of fun with this even tho I'm not a huge fan of visual novels.

Got to hang out with Yuri for the weekend. We just stayed at school and stared into each other's eyes, really romantic experience, would recommend


Seriously though, I'm not the biggest fan of the horror genre, but this game was legitimately unsettling. It did a damn good job at creeping me the ♥♥♥♥ out at times, especially Yuri's route during the second run of the game. Those eyes and the music (the track with her breathing and creepy giggling) are gonna haunt me, lol. The whole "meta character who knows they're in a game and can ♥♥♥♥ with everything" thing was executed pretty well, despite its moments of trying-a-bit-too-hard-ness (is that even a word? idk). The fact that a lot of the horror is presented as the game itself glitching out because of Monika indirectly breaking the script is pretty cool, I don't think I've seen other games that do it quite like this.
I also appreciate the game not relying on jumpscares, it's always nice to see horror games that focus more on the atmosphere and stuff like that. There are a couple jumpscares in the game, but you can kind of see them coming and they're not super obnoxious (Monika's jumpscare when you stream or record the game during the "space classroom" bit is pretty funny actually).

Overall, a good experience if you like a good depressing spook. Not so much if you just like cute anime girls and want a cute dating sim, cuz you're pretty much getting the exact opposite.
