but seriously. this game is freaking life changing. like basically if you like platformer games, story games, and games that make you want to rip your hair out at all, buy it. buy the main game and if you like it, the DLC makes it even better. it's like a whole new better game added onto the already unbeatable base game. the story is so intricate but at the same time simple to understand at least the basics. it's the kind that will make you think about it for years and in the most random situations. the characters lore, if you dig a bit deeper than surface level, is so incredibly detailed and the personalities, especially of some later game creatures, are so well put together it's honestly amazing. it immerses you almost instantly in a world where you aren't all powerful. you arent a god. it feels like life kinda. you are just a creature in an ecosystem. you can eat the other things, but they can eat you too. its a learning experience to survive. you will die. you will die so many times. dont give up i promise its worth it. (also no. dont go running with your one spear towards that lizard. if it doesnt care about you, just go around it. flight is better than fight in most situations with this game.) all the people who said it's too hard - honestly - just didnt try hard enough. im sorry but it's probably true. its very much a try, try again, and again and again and again. and again. and maybe one more time. like i have over 200 hours on this game at the time of writing this and i still havent been able to finish all the campaigns without cheats. its a horribly hard game but everything else it has from the story to the animation to the art makes up for it. and on the topic of animation, the animation feels REAL. like its an actual animal. even though its pixelated and 2D it still is one of the most immersive games that money can buy. and the art in game and in the community is amazing. like truly some of the best art you'll ever see. especially from the rain world community which is one of the most accepting, inclusive, talented, and loving communities you will ever see on the internet. i need to go to bed now so i need to wrap this up but. buy rain world. thank you for listening to my ted talk. i will expand it tomorrow.
