This is just an honest to the Gods real fun and short bullet hell game with lesbian ghosts. My only complaint here is that the game is free and that there isn't more of it.

Zajebista robota, Łukaszu. Pozdrawiam :>

I am putting my positive review back up as HELLDIVERS 2 is a great game made by lovely people.

This whole situation though is a massive egg on SONY's face in terms of being a publisher. This is not acceptable behaviour.

I've played Sorath's previous game, Devil Daggers, way back. I could never get into it. Even after I recently revisited it, it never dug the heels it seemed to be able to dig into many folks, but I couldn't call it a bad game by any means. It just wasn't for me.
Jump cut to September 19th, 2022. One of my friends comes effectively screaming into a text channel about Sorath stealth dropping this game onto Steam. The same friend later showed me on a livestream how the game played out, which made me grab it the next day.
At first, I assumed that this is just Devil Daggers 2, which made me sorta brush it off .. I was wrong.

There's honestly no better way for me to describe this game than to just straight up call it a drug. The visuals are like something taken straight from an acid trip, with wonderful title music by Eugnosis that further adds to the trippy nature of the game. The special red holographic view of what's going on behind you lets you be aware of what's happening at all times, literally giving you eyes at the back of your head. It's a lot to take in at first, but after you play it enough... it all starts to make sense, becoming about as readable as one can get. The combination of extremely fluid movement, multiple ways to kill enemies and the scoring system incentivizing the player to go at breakneck speeds combines into something that is the most distilled, pure, prime example of the flow state.
This game has a mention about games being addictive at the bottom of its description for a good reason. If this game clicks as well as it did with me, you'll find yourself trying over and over again, dying constantly, all for that sweet, single of an immortal's blood. For DEICIDE. This game is insanity at its finest. One of the best releases of 2022 and possibly one of the best FPS games ever made.

Reach Heaven Through Violence. Reach Eternity Through Phantasmogoria.
Thank you, Sorath.

Look, I'm not good at reviews, so I'll break it to ya quickly:
This game has a great OST, k-drama talk, mechs, good humor, turn-based RPG fights, HUGE mechs, sudden twists into pits of sadness and depression, running errads for NPCs, did I mention HUGE mechs? I probably didn't.
TL;DR game great go buy ok bye

Wonderful, colorful and tough bullet-hell platformer with hand-drawn cartoon graphics. The soundtrack is also great, full of jazz that fits the game's aesthetic very well. DLC was supposed to release last year, but that probably got pushed way back due to COVID-19. Hopefully we'll get to play it soon.

Got a free code from the Crowsworn kickstarter and I'm really glad I did! Haven't finished the game yet, but here's how I feel so far:

The combat is a lot of fun, with each weapon having it's own style and quirk (for ex. the sword and shield [your starting weapon] is fast, hit decently hard, has a charge attack in the form of a leaping slash and an ability that blocks one instance of damage, while the hammer [a weapon you unlock early in the game] is slow, hard hitting, has a charge attack in the form of a powerful slam and an ability that makes the slam send out a shockwave), with new and returning enemies always finding a way to annoy you, whether it is suicide bombing you or having a big-ass shield.

The map is pretty expansive and hidden with secrets, with the typical "beat boss, get thing, use thing to backtrack to certain areas" deal. What makes things a bit more interesting is the fact that the "thing" also includes the weapon you unlock! For ex. the previously mentioned hammer's slam attack can break certain objects and knock certain platforms downwards, which fits this mix of genres perfectly.

The bosses all have patterns and no random nor annoying ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, usually I managed to beat the bosses within an hour, but it could take longer/shorter depending on how high your level is (you can level by killing stuff, you don't lose it since it isn't tied to Sin, aka the currency).

At first you won't know what to do with the currency, but eventually you'll find people that can trade you for it and a specific place that lets you use it in a skill tree.

The game consists of monochrome pixel-art, which suits the theme of the game pretty well and doesn't look bad whatsoever. Personally, I like it quite a lot.

The music honestly surprised me with how good it was. It sounds kinda like what you'd hear in Dark Souls, maybe not on the same level, but it's up there for sure.

I'll probably update the review after I beat the game, but so far, it's great. Go buy it. It's stupid cheap as of the time of writing.

This is a very simple and fun mix between an auto-battler, roguelike and your traditional game of snake for only 3 bucks. Definitely worth it
(Quick note that the dev has shown to support NFTs by calling artists that don't wanna get into that weird-ass space as people that don't want to take risks, which is bs)
