Pros:
The game looks gorgeous.
The story is interesting so far.
Gameplay is challenging and rewarding. When I die I know it was my fault.
Great attention to detail.

Cons:
Very poor straight console port.
No mouse support on menus.
Lack of support for all but a select few branded flight sticks/HOTAS
Hardly any graphics options.
Limited resolution support.

I'm enjoying the game as a long time Ace Combat fan, but do yourself a favor and buy it on console so you'll at least get one of the other AC games with your purchase. There isn't much reason to get the PC version right now.

I cannot in good faith recommend this game despite being a fan of Senran Kagura since Burst on the 3DS. While I went into this entry fully expecting it just to be a stopgap in between Estival Versus and Burst Re:Newal, I didn't expect the amount of technical issues it has considering how good of a port Estival was.

Regarding the DLC situation, I did expect a lot of it since Estival Versus had something like $80 worth or around that number. What I didn't expect was the sheer madness we got that blows that figure out of the water (pun intended) and tries to aspire to Team Ninja levels of price gouging. I'm at least comforted by the fact that a lot of people are speaking up about this.

Sorry Tamsoft, Marvelous, and XSeed. I like your games but you really dropped the ball on this one.

Excellent port of an underappreciated RTS/RPG. Great story, great gameplay, challenging extra missions, and an amazing soundtrack. Support Sega and more games like this so that we may get other Valkyria games and JRPGs.
