Mordhau is an intense First Person Slasher. At least that's how I play it. With a few hundred hours in the question for new people wanting to buy this game is well..."Is it worth it 6 months in?"

The answer to that is: Maybe.

A reviewer said about this game on launch to play it now before everyone learns how to do advanced swing manipulations and moving the camera to become hard to hit and I believe he was right. The average skill is much higher now than at launch so you'll likely be faced with experienced players. This is especially telling in smaller team fights and duels with a new player swinging and blocking while an opponent can be effectively using quck accels, tricky drags, etc.

However don't take it as not worth playing as a new player! In-game modding support has been added, a myriad of fixes and animation tweaks and a new map confirmed for next patch means plenty of new and ongoing support for the game. The player base is around 5k~ daily give or take with bumps on content updates so the game does have a dedicated player base chugging and long and will for a while.

I also make content for Mordhau on YouTube so if you're interested to learn more on playing the game you can check out my short basics guide. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbICvzcQN-g

Simple to learn, huge replay value (Guns and lazer ships on one play through or a clone pumping ship full of rockmen immune to fire that you can send to invade the enemies ships as they burn just to name a few) and lots of fun.

A combination of RTS, which I use lightly, and a bit of strategy with where you want to go and what you encounter, what upgrades you want to buy and how do you wish to get the materials for the upgrades and what crew members man which station makes the game really easy to get into and it can always be a bit different each time.

Definately recommend!

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was an amazing experience for me and continues to still be with the use of many fantastic mods. With each new set brings in a totally new life while playing it. Hardcore hunter who needs to hunt to eat, sleep, drink, and stay warm in his tent on the worst of nights or he will die to exposure. Check. A totally unleveled world where no enemies scale along side you which means you can either wreck someone at level 1 or get wrecked at level 1. Check. Become a mage with exotic and forbidden powers to save the world or bend it to your will? Check.

I've brought many of those adventures to life and more with a plethora of mods to share and to this day continue to play it and create wonderful stories through roleplaying.
