Easily one of my favourite zombie games of all time. The Devs and the soundtrack compositor(s) made and outstanding job in creating an eerie, creepy and depressing/hopeless atmosphere for an unforgiving game like this one. It's a nice game to play alone, but it's extremely fun with friends.

Also, you wouldn't expect from a 10+ year-old free game to still have frequent updates, but this one does. The Devs add more maps/achievements/soundtracks occasionally, and so does the community via workshop.

Speaking of the community, most of the games I've played online with strangers through all these years have been a blast. The community is lovely and there have been very, very few times someone was toxic/grieving.

As for the gameplay itself, it is unforgiving, and completing a map alone or with only few people can sometimes be impossible. This is something that pushes some players away from this game, but those who look for a challenge will undoubtedly love this game. (Same goes for achievement hunters.) The game relies mostly on melee weapons, since each map is based on the "Every bullet counts" ideology. Ammo is scarce, and most of the time guns should only be used in emergencies. However, as one would expect from a Source Engine game, melee weapons can be a little buggy sometimes.
The game is more strategically-based than fast-paced, especially on survival maps. You have to stockpile ammo and meds, barricade the right doors/windows etc.

Overall, I would recommend this game to anyone who is into the zombie genre, it's a game every fan should play at least once in their lives. If you have friends who enjoy such games, even better. You'll have a blast bashing in some undead heads with friends.

Still one of the best Call of Duty games. As a die-hard zombie mode fan, i love this CoD not only it's because the one that started it all, but also because of the custom maps.

Warface is an online FPS game, which also features Solo, or Co-Op missions against AI-controlled units.

~Pros:

-Really good graphics and good game physics.
-Variety of game modes, including TDM, FFA, Search and destroy, and other classic ones, including some other ideas.
-An even bigger variety of guns, armor, equipment etc, which can either be unlocked by leveling up, or with money you earn by playing the game.
-Really fun to play with friends!
-It includes ranked games (Ranks range from rank 21 to rank 1 if a remember well), where you also get rewards every time you get promoted.
-You have the option to make, or join a clan.
-You can customise your profile with titles/backgrounds and emblems, which are unlocked by completing in-game challenges, like earning a number of kills with a certain gun, winning different game modes, and many, many more. As an achievement hunter, this is one of the greatest features in my opinion, and im sure that if you are an achievement hunter too, you will love it as well.
-It also includes Steam Achievements.

~Cons:

-Community. The community is decent, there are toxic players, and friendly/funny players as well, but the toxic ones exceed the friendly ones, hence i consider it a con.
-The spawning system is a bit messed up. You guessed it right, there's A LOT of spawn-killing going on in this game.
-I would consider this game to be slightly ''pay-to-win''. There are guns and armor that are superior to most of the ones you can buy or rent with the money you earn by playing the game. It's not that big of a deal in my opinion, they dont make a huge difference, but still, they can be rather irritating at some points.
-No voice chat.
-There is this thing that when you are dead you can spectate your teammates that are still alive, on a 3rd person camera which allows you to look around. This can be used to give away the enemy's position, and especially in game modes where you have only a sinlge life per round, it can help someone win a 1v6 round without breaking a sweat.

Finally, i would definately recommend this game. It has a lot of features for a free game and it is very well developed. Especially if you team-up with your friends, you'll love this game!
