I absolutely love this game and think it's the best fighting game out at the moment, but the monetization is extremely predatory compared to T7. $5 costumes that are just ports of the costumes from T7, $5 costume packs that fit half of the characters terribly. You have to buy the DLC characters to even be able to view replays with them. The battle pass definitely leaves a sour taste in the mouth, but for $5 of currency you get $7 of currency back from the pass, which is far better than most battle passes.

I really enjoy Wild Hearts so far, but there are a few hiccups. First is the price. It's published by EA so it HAS to be $70. The best thing I can say is to spend the $5 to play 10 hours on EA Play and see if you enjoy it. The second issue is the performance issues. As a lot of people have said before, there is a major issue with how the game runs. The devs have said they have found the issue and will have a patch shipped out next week, but in all honesty it should have been fixed by release. My specs are: i7-9700k, RTX 2070, 32gb ram and I still fluctuate between 50-60 FPS on medium settings.

That being said, this game is extremely fun. The main gimmick of the game is the Karakuri Structures. Basically you're able to place down boxes, springs, and a bunch of other stuff to allow new movement options to fight monsters. Springs let you dash and give you i-frames just like dodging, boxes let you reposition easily and attack from above. Along with that there's also recipes with the structures that create traps and defenses. The weapons in Wild Heart, like with Monster Hunter, change the way you play the game completely.

Another major bonus for the game is they know how to make a multiplayer game. In Monster Hunter you cannot skip cutscenes or do hunts that have cutscenes in them (excluding some story ones afaik) with other people until you get through the cutscene. You can play through the entirety of Wild Hearts co-op while being able to skip through cutscenes.
