The game is one of the greatest round based strategy games I ever played.
In contrast to most other games the story is gripping but you also want to complete at least one open run as a merc company. So you'll spend a good amount of time for sure.

Too sad, that the licence situation is f*cked up deeply, with Microsoft, FASA, Paradox and who else involved...

A milestone in (point & click) adventure history. The remastered edition makes the game very well playable on modern machines. The sound design is great and includes a lot of great voice acting - for English and German. The humor is still spot-on and lets you enjoy the whole storyline.

It's not an RPG. It's a twin stick shooter with RPG elements. And it's a great one!

The environment looks marvelous and is a real eyecatcher. The main story is quite short, but there are enough funny side quests.

The navigation is a bit of a challenge, because the map is very abstract, and the helper only works with quest targets. The fast travel options are great, but combat is so fun, you’ll find yourself happily slaughtering through various sections of the world on your way to the target.

About the game: relaxing and motivating at once.

If CS:GO is to childish and ARMA is to boring, Sandstorm uses the golden path with a good balance of action and realism.
And the sound design is marvelous which creates an awesome immersion.

Excellent strategy game.
Not very complex game play mechanics, but the scenario and the events work on their own.
During the current heatwave playing the game feels quite refreshing - instead of depressing. 🌨️☃️
