It definitely simulates top of the table.

Let me say that I quite like the core gameplay, but the more I played the more problems I've found.

Optimalization - There is no way it should be taking as many resources as it is. Maybe my GPU isn't as new as it used to be, but I don't think there is a good reason why it's running at barely 30 fps and in some locations even less on basically the lowest settings. I play games that look much better and run above 60 fps. Also, for some reason, I can't change the resolution in fullscreen.

Keybindings - Let me change more keybinds. Maybe I don't want to have interaction with objects, picking up items, picking up Pals and mounting/dismounting on one button. Just because controllers have limited buttons doesn't mean keyboards have the same issue. If there are more than one possible interaction for one button at a time, it's hard to do what you wanted to, for example, when I want to mount while there is an item under me or when I want to dismount in the vicinity of a chest.

Interactions - It's really hard to interact with something you want to if there are multiple options nearby. Like if there are two chests next to each other and a Pal; you either open the wrong chest or pick up the Pal. I've found that you can place small chests under workbenches, but it makes interacting hard. Simply make interactions based on the thing you're directly looking at, please.

AI - Pals can get stuck in the dumbest of places. Then starve and faint. Also, the transporting Pals can get stuck in a weird loop where they pick up an item, instantly drop it just to pick it up again, and repeat. Another example is when wild Pals get attacked by other NPCs, they start targeting me for some reason.

Some other stuff I have issues with: projectiles being shot at the start of an animation and not at the end or middle; let me set priorities for jobs for specific Pals; don't let me auto-pick up items if it would make me go past carrying capacity; let me set crafting amount to infinite so items start crafting the moment I get resources for them; only one tileset for dungeons; not having possibilty to sort Pals by passive skills/work skills/name.

If they fix at least some of those, I will happily change this review to a positive one.
