Solid sequel to one of the most underrated rogue-likes IMO. A lot of additional content and a Slay the Spire esque game play loop. If you're a fan of either strategy RPGS or Roguelkes this deserves a look. If you're a fan of both, it's a must buy,

This is arguably the best piece of content From Software has ever released, and it's surprising to see that it has mixed reviews (as of writing). This review score is absolutely not representative of the quality of the DLC, and if you liked base game Elden Ring at all you should rush to buy Shadows of the Erdtree. Performance issues have not been a problem for me personally, and as for the difficulty; if you're afraid of a challenge why are you playing Elden Ring in the first place? The DLC's new progression system allows for even heavily over leveled characters to be challenged by the new content, while allowing players of a lower skill level to vastly improve their character before fighting any of the new bosses.

A love letter to the older From software titles. As a spiritual successor to King's Field it manages to shed the most cumbersome aspects of those games while maintaining what made them so great. The atmosphere is incredible, both the soundtrack and visual design of the game are nearly perfect. A stronger focus on exploration and mystery rather than combat make the game a joy to experience. There is an incredibly fun sense of progression as you unravel the game's many mysteries, discover new more powerful weapons, and improve your character. While not incredibly long, there is more than enough content to make the game a great value at $14. Lunacid provides a sense of wonder that I have not experienced in a game since Dark Souls 1, and that is the highest praise I could possibly give. If you're like me and have been yearning for that enchanting feeling that DS1 provided, then this is a must play.

Great soulslike! Combines the best parts of the combat from Sekiro and Bloodborne. Super well polished, zero bugs or crashes throughout my play through! If you're a fan of the genre you should not miss this one.

I'm playing this game on a computer with hardware that's almost 5 years old at minimum settings and it's still amazing. There are definitely stutters, especially when entering a new area, but that's hardly game breaking. I get that performance issues can be frustrating, but this game is a genuine masterpiece that's worth every second of your time. This is honestly nothing like the original DS1 port that people are comparing it to. I've only had one crash in my entire play time, despite the fact that my computer huffs and puffs like a steam engine when I play. Please do not let the negative reviews deter you, even if your PC is below minimum spec, this game is a joy to play.

Deadbolt is like a mix bewteen Hotline Miami and Gunpoint, it has the fast paced, difficult, gory gameplay of Hotline Miami, balanced with the clever, punishing, and intuitive level design of Gunpoint. It doesn't exceed either of these games in these areas, but it certainly makes a good attempt.

The only issues I have with the game is it's short length, and boring progression system. The length in my opinion is balanced out with the difficulty and the fair amount of replayability, the progression system (if you can call it that) however is undeniably under developed. In my opinion it shouldn't even be in the game, and instead scrapped for rewards from individual levels. The system consists of one merchant who sells primary and secondary weapons. The big issue is how few guns there are, and how useless most of them are. You only need to buy one or two throughout the game, and even then it's completely possible to just ignore them entirely.

All in all, the second commercial effort for Hoopoo is pretty good, but not great, especially compared to their first. The game is completely carried on it's level design, and even that isn't perfect. A heasatant reccomendation at full price, but a whole hearted one if you can nab it on sale. Worth your time, but maybe not your money. 8/10
